BIOS
ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»
From Roman Petrov → To All 29 June 1998
Hello! Dear All!
People, does anyone want to look at the far from complete documentation for
my BIOS? I sent it to Denis Dmitriev, but it seems that netmail is not reaching him now, just like Alexei Bugay :( Maybe someone else would like to take a look at the functions that will be in the BIOS. Maybe someone else will suggest some. I can give a description of almost all restarts (except for errors, disk functions and NeOS functions). If there are at least two people willing,
and if the moderator doesn’t mind, then I’ll throw it in!
With respect, Roman aka Megus of Brainwave Association.

I greet you from the bottom of my heart, Roman!
Mon Jun 29, 1998, Roman Petrov squeezed the keyboard, hoping that the following
words would reach All:

Come on, maybe by analogy with the “sophisticated” platforms, I’ll suggest something else... :)
Hasta la vista.
Tim Kelly
P.S. The moderator doesn't mind, I asked. :)

Let's go to the echo.
All the best.

Hello! Dear Tim!
At 22:20, Tuesday June 30, 1998 it was such a thing that
Tim Kelly scribbled down a letter from Roman Petrov:
RP>> functions that will be in the BIOS. Maybe someone else will suggest some.
RP>> I can give a description of almost all restarts (except for errors,
RP>> disk functions and NeOS functions). If there are at least
RP>> more than two people willing, and if the moderator doesn’t mind, then I’ll throw it in!

TK>... :)
Suggest, suggest. I’ll add it now, otherwise I won’t get around to it later, but today another function will appear with the System manager, and one will also be added to the system variables. This is due to the fact that it takes quite a long time to check all the int interrupts. I almost fell when I saw
(almost reaches the top of the screen from passing the interruption).
There are two possible ways to accelerate:
The first is not very fast. The additional system variable
has a volume of 1 byte and means the number of the latest driver. When
int drivers are called, only the driver is checked.
The second one is fast. System variable=maximum number of
int drivers. Most likely it will be equal to 16 bytes. This variable
contains the numbers of active int drivers, which are successfully called during interruptions
without anycheck.
Most likely there will be method 2, since it is much faster.
TK> P.S. The moderator doesn't mind, I asked. :)
