1. Which version of BestView is the last one?
──────────────── ────────────────────────────

The latest version now is BestView 2.9. The delivery set
consists of three files: "BV 2.9 " - directly
BestView, "bv2.9hlp

" - description, "bv2.9hst

" - history
of the program.

2. When will the next version be released and how can I get it? get?
───────────────────────

I'm currently writing version 3.0 completely from scratch,
so the work is not progressing as quickly as I would like.
The degree of completion is about 25%. You can expect a new version
to appear this year.
BestView is a freely distributed program. The next
versions are placed in the ZX.SPECTRUM conference and are further distributed without my participation. The latest version of BestView
can also be obtained from me via FIDO or E-mail.
On the Internet BestView 2.9 and my othersprograms are available at http://www.zx.ru/echo/roschin.

3. Why BestView does not work under the ZXEmul emulator 0.33-0.34?
──────────────────────────

BestView does not work under the ZX_Emul emulator due to
inaccuracies in the drive controller emulation. I have already reported
this problem to the author of the emulator and received an encouraging response.
Unfortunately, this flaw remains in version 0.34, so
let's wait for the next version of ZX_Emul... In the meantime, I recommend
using the emulators CBSpeccy, R80, RealSpectrum, the emulator
Shalaev - BestView works on them.

4. On slow computers (Krasnodar, Byte, etc.)
music playback slows down. What to do?

Disable music analyzers in setup. How to do this is stated in the BestView description. By the way, in setup you can also configure
color attributes and disable auto-detection of disk changes.
InIn subsequent versions of BV, the problem of music slowdown will be
solved by optimizing the analyzers, so there will be no need to disable them.

5. After writing the file, the directory is re-read, which
is sometimes very inconvenient (for example, when working with a file divided
into blocks of 'CS+A'). What to do?

Write to another (not current) drive, then the directory
of the drive in the current drive will not be re-read. It is also advisable
that the disk in the current drive is not write-protected, otherwise
re-reading may still occur (in subsequent versions
this problem will be solved).

6. To what addresses should I send messages about noticed shortcomings
and suggestions for improving BestView?
