AUTOLOAD IS-DOS

ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»

From Roman Milukov To All 30 June 1999

Hello, All!

I was thirsty, waiting for someone to throw me a normal is-dos loader from the screw...
I spat and did as Renat Mamedov advised.
It even turned out very interesting, because not only is-dos can be a resident!
The process is like this:
is_res.com (thanks to Renat Mamedov) saves to pages #D4, #D6 and #D7 image
of the resident system. Then the utility sv_rmrm.com dumps these pages onto the screw.
In CMOS cells, starting with #16, the maximum number of seconds,
the maximum number of heads, the maximum number of tracks (2 cells), the initial track (2 cells), where
sv_rmrm loads the resident image, are stored respectively. If there is no CMOS, you need to write all this STS information into the body
sv_rmrm.
In the MADROM ROM, the loader of this image is attached to the “Q” button. Partially the bootloader,
192 bytes, had to be stuffed into the empty space of ROM-48. By the way, you can use
it simply to load any top page from the screw.
And there is a loaderjust on a TR-DOS disk that loads the resident image from
screw into the pages (if there is no CMOS, STS will also be needed).
And then we just start the resident...

Whoever needs it, wash it, I’ll throw it.

All the best.
Best regards Roman.
