From Andy Harchenko → To All 21 May 1998
Having sat down at the keyboard, I decided to draw a letter for you All.
Here the situation arose, I finally asked KLIM to send me the sources for
fido, and so that he wouldn’t have to suffer with UUE, he told him to just attach the file.
But the problem is that you can’t change the attributes of the letter along the way in ZED!
Accordingly, attach is screwed up :(. Or Did we not understand something?!

IMHO according to FIDO, attaches only run within one node. Most likely it was
nailed somewhere ;)

You understood everything correctly! You could have thrown the terminal if you live in the same city.

Our attachments are driven via the Internet, since there is no need to manually link and split.

You need to do not just zed, but also soap, and why is that? You can also use the terminal
throw.

I once wanted to do the same thing “from scratch”. But, IMHO, all this is empty...
It’s much easier to just change one overlay after another in ZED. The only problem
on this path is that ZED is not designed to work with long files.
