Hello, All!
--------------------------------------------------------------
Fixed and modified commander by Max Petrov:
About innovations. This is:
- viewing pictures (key "i"), 27
sectors are displayed on the screen, starting from the trk/sec file on which the cursor is located,
- launching a code file ("u", the address is taken from the directory,
sp:=this address, to port #7ffd=>#10, jp to this address).
- marking by mask (key "k") - adds to the already new files marked
containing unmasked characters.
- renaming a group of files (ss+r). In all marked
files, the entered characters are renamed.
- merging groups of files (ss+j). Here we need to say something special.
all files that were marked in order are merging,
from top to bottom. Moreover, you can merge several groups
of files at once. You just need to mark them correctly.
Example:
let's say it was marked in this order:
boot B (1) ─┐
file0 C (2) │
file1 B (3) │
... │
file8 C (10) │
file9 C (11)─┘
file10 C (15)─┐
file11 C (16)─┘
file12 C (12)─┐
file13 C (13) │
file14 C (14)─┘
...
after gluing, this is what you get:
boot B
file10 C
file12 C
...
If the first file in the group being merged is with the extension "B", then
its "lenth" parameter will not change, i.e. a
monoblock will be created.
if after gluing the file length turns out to be more than 255 seconds
, then several files will be created with the same name
and their serial number will be entered in their extension.
for example, after gluing, “boot” has a length of 513
seconds - this is what will be in the directory:
boot B 255
boot 1 255
boot 2 ..3
file10 C ...
file12 C ...
...
The disk must be normal TDOS! do not have files with
length in seconds "0" and do not have spaces between files.
- The mode of working with extended memory (128/max) is switched
ss+p (needed for ramdisk and in the default firmware it is
128, so as not to slow down. :)
- The mode for launching files "max/128" is switched ss+o.
If it is set here "128", then port #EFF7 will output
"#04", etc. the program will run with closed pages
above 128K. Made specifically for progs who don't
understand that the ramdisk cannot be touched :)
Re-reading the disk on drives A...D - keys 1...4
respectively, or select the desired drive (cs+1), and then
point the mouse at "1-new" or immediately press the middle button. Select
flop "output" - ss+1..4directly or select using
cs+2.
You can now mark files with the mouse without constantly torturing
the right button, but press once and move the mouse down or
up (a la FPM3.05).
Full work with four flops has been implemented,
with “A” and “B” working with the turboloader, and “C” and “D” - on
#3d13 - made mainly for the ramdisk.
To enter the marking mode, you can now press the right button on the file window
(and the left button to exit).
Now the _max_free_sec_ of the disk is _not_2544_sec_! I had
to do this because of the same ramdisk. Now max_size
is not calculated by the first free trk/sec, but is taken
from the catalog.
Now some non-obvious things for those who have not
seen FPM before:
- all the main currently available commands are visible
below.
- mark: with the mouse, see above or ENTER. Files
will be copied in the order in which they were marked.
- launch: also ENTER, left mouse button or using hot
keys visible to the left of the leftmost column.
To launch a file from the middle column, press CS+A..V. To
start in the 48th mode - press "0".
- page turning: cs+3, cs+4 or click with the mouse in
the upper/lower half... right third of the screen (you can't call it a window
somehow.:)
- select INPUT/OUTPUT DRIVE with the mouse: just click on
the corresponding position (the upper half of the right third
of the screen) and that’s it.
The number of files (and erased ones) is recalculated with each entry
to the directory. Therefore, if the erased file is renamed to a regular one
it will be restored.
When performing operations with files (for example, copying) the length file
in sectors, the initial trk/sec are taken from the directory.
If suddenly a file with a length in seconds of "0" is encountered, it will
be copied incorrectly.
In the "Xcare" menu:
- Keep - write the directory to trk161/sec7 (at first the track
is formatted).
- rEstore cat - restore the directory from 161/7
- Restore disk - restoration of a disk from the first marked
file or, if there are none, from the beginning.
I especially warn you: in Commander there are initially no
all sorts of reinsurance and double-checks, such as there are, for example
in CONVER, so BE IN THE MATERIAL, ALL and watch your hands! :)
The firmware is strongly recommended to be used in conjunction
with TRDOS5.12f by Reanimator, which is why support
#3D13 was made in the commander (RAMdisk, after all! :).
There will most likely be no further firmware upgrade. There is no more room
. except that there will be an e-reader that takes up less
BEv1.3 (currently about 5K), and is equal in capabilities to this one.
I would like to say hello to the creators of similar things
(atwho was... the idea of service firmware was borrowed :)
and in general to all Game & System makers:
Thanx and all the best to you! :)

Well, that's it. Goodbye, All.
