And while I was playing my Mouzons with this player heaps of remixes in my head kept coming.
It even got to the point that I almost wrote a new music after listening
to the old one.

No, it uses the patented “Mirror” method (C) by SiRiL/4D ;)
The frequency table is “turned over”, i.e. it was B of the eighth octave - it became C
the first (in ProTracker's numbering). As a result, the familiar music sounds
in a completely new way (sometimes it sucks, and sometimes it’s completely cool).
As a result, subj is recommended for installation by all muzakers -
