Packer R.I.P. (Real Information Packer) ver 0.01.
(c)2000-2001, Roman Petrov.
Do not confuse the author of RIP with his namesake (Roman Petrov aka
Megus/Brainwave). Even though they study at the same university.
This version is a test version, so the author is not
responsible for possible consequences caused by
glitches in the program. If you find such glitches
please contact the author through me and send the file on
which these glitches are observed.
Technical characteristics:
-The maximum size of the packaged file at the moment is 40
kilobytes (40960 bytes, 160 sectors)
-2 compression modes are supported: Text and Code. The unpacker
is the same.
-It is possible to change the size of the dictionary (for text it is recommended
to set #a000 bytes, for code it is recommended to “play” with this
value)
-compression rate is high
-compression speed is low
-unpacking speed is low
-unpacker size is 289 (#121) bytes
-the unpacker can use up to 64 bytes in the stack area
At the moment it is problematic to contact the author directly,
so you can write to me (Aleksey Malov aka Vivid/Brainwave, I
will pass it on to him) at one of the following addresses:
Fidonet:Aleksey Malov (2:5052/30.8) Currently, the author plans to release RIP on PC, compatible
ZXNet:Aleksey Malov (500:8362/1.3)
E-mail:Alekse...@p8.f30.n5052.z2.fidonet.org
with the Spectrum version.
Bye, All.

Damn! How much is possible? It’s hard to call the author a lamer, but what the hell kind of software that is not a disk utility does turbo-loader use?! Which other packer does this? How much have they talked about this? All the same, there will be
someone who will do everything so that the owners of advanced computers send their
creation! I don’t know about other owners of Scorpios with screws, but I will never use this software, even if it works faster and better than anyone
precisely because it doesn’t see my screw!
And the interface is kind of poor... it would be nice to remove the colors from the background under
file names, otherwise the colors are kind of funny. :)

Don't make a fuss... the author has a monochrome :) Everything looks stylish

I’m already kicking the author for this initiative. I myself am not happy that I cannot
load it from the ramdisk.
True, after loading from the drive, you can press Enter and uncheck
Fast Driver, then click Edit. After this, all work will be carried out through
#3d13. At least with my ramdisk it works after that, bless you.
Pressing SS+3 allows you to switch the number system: hex/dec.
SZ> Which

I immediately told the author that everything should be done through #3d13. No, after all, it was necessary to show off! I could not control the process, because... for the summer he
went home to the village (it was possible to contact him only through
snail, but I haven’t used this method of communication for about 3 years), where he added
the interface.

Yes, calm down. Next everything will be fixed in the version. For now, you can do
as I did, or not use the software.
SZ> And the interface is kind of poor... it would be nice to remove the colors from the background under
SZ> the file names, otherwise the colors are kind of funny. :)
Ok. I'll pass it on.
Known bugs:
1. When packing files in which all files occur only once (for example, a file filled with bytes from 0 to 255), a reset occurs.
2. You should not pack files longer than 40 kilobytes. Will hang the fuck out.
Bye, Sergey.
WBR, Vivid^Brainwave.

I agree with this, but I want to note that in the MMCM player with colors
things are no better, why color the columns with different
attributes when the files are arranged in lines? And it is advisable to highlight the file under the cursor not with Ink, but with paper.
On this note. Bye, Sergey!

Is it difficult to configure it yourself? Read the description and correct the necessary bytes or does religion not allow you to use the documented features? There will be a little paper light for you. I did not find such an opportunity in subj.
