64 column mode, also known as pentagon 512x192.
Once enabled, even bytes are read from the Primary DFILE (#4000-#57FF),

Secondary DFILE (#6000-#77FF) Raster resolution becomes 512x192.
In the domestic version, this mode is also available on the 2nd screen
(Page7). In the Arc implementation, the screen color is determined by the border color, and the color
set points 0 or 7 depending on the 2nd bit of the border color (counting from
0th). If the border color lies within 0..3 then the color of the set points
will be white, otherwise black.
Extend Color Mode, we know it as hardware multicolor.
In this mode, raster information is taken from Primary DFILE
(#4000-#57FF), and attribute, from
Secondary DFILE (#6000-#77FF) based on attribute bytes per screen byte,
i.e. attribute

The addressing completely coincides with the addressing of these Timex 2048 modes, the difference is

000 - Black on white. 100 - Green on magenta.
001 - Blue on yellow. 101 - Cyan on red.
010 - Red on cyan. 110 - Yellow on blue.
011 - Magenta on green. 111 - White on black.
D6: If set disables the generation of the timer interrupt.
D7: Selects which bank the horizontal MMU should use. 0=DOCK, 1=EX.
Screen 0 is the normal screen at the start of video memory. Screen 1 uses the
same format but is offset by 8K.

bit 3 - Not used. I suggest: read only cache. 0 - can be written, 1 -
it is impossible.
bit 4 - GigaScreen (hardware overlay of 0th and 1st screens. Alternating
lines: C35 = (bit4 & 8kHz) xor C35.) Not used.
More precisely, in the game "Homer Simpson In Russia" instead of the port #eff7 is written
#fffc.
bit 5, 6 - reserved for Rom-Disk. Since this thing is not
common, I suggest: bit 5 - enable Sound Blaster (see ZX-Guide 2), bit 6
- enable 384x304 (ibid.).
bit 7 - Gluk CMOS (real time clock). See the diagram in Deja Vu #8 (though there
instead of #eff7 it is also written #fffc). 1 - CMOS ports are active.
At the moment, bit0 of port #eff7 is responsible for the 16 color mode (in unreal - the 5th
bit) AlCo:"Addressing is similar to ATM (#c000+, #4000+, #e000+, #6000+, etc.), but with
standard
lined, as in normal Spectrum mode.
Inside the byte, the bit layout is the same as in ATM (%IiGRBgrb, where IGRB is the right
pixel)
