Hello All!
As I wrote earlier, since work on subject 2.0 is progressing slowly,
Due to difficulties encountered in organizing the modular system, I decided
release another version of the 1.9 series in which the existing ones are corrected
shortcomings and known glitches. If someone's subject doesn't work with what
or DOS, RamDisk, etc. write to me. Make a full-fledged bells and whistles
do not offer text viewer, since version 1.9 has no memory for this
(I mean for the ROM version). All the bells and whistles will be in version 2.0,
By the way, I would like to know All's opinion on this matter. How are you
You could find out from electronic publications that version 2.0 of the subject is planned
with an open architecture and modular system, the commander himself will be
absolutely “naked”, no add-ons like a doctor, player, viewer,
formatter. All the bells and whistles will be implemented in modules and loaded
through "Autoload". Thanks to open architecture it will be possible
connect the HDD driver, General S. player, etc. to the commander.
I’m still afraid that version 2.0 may not catch on, for example
ZX-ASM 3.10 with its overlay system, especially for ROM
version, it’s easier to press a button and get into the team with all the bells and whistles,
Why else wait until it loads the prescribed modules (although they can be
also load from RC RamDisk). Boot from flop (with basic modules)
it theoretically should not last much longer than the younger version, soas when loading modules there is only one access to the zero track,
and then all the modules are read in a row, the most optimal would be
place the command at the beginning of the disk. In general, write what you are on
think about this score.
Bye!

Hello, Denis!

MZ>>> Single-panel for files is bad. ;)
KF>> Agree 200%. Optimally - 2-3 panels.
DK> Why the hell do you need 3 panels?
Right! 3 panels are too much, but 2 are just right. Look for example at
commanders on large platforms, they (commanders) there are all two-panel, and
if there are single-panel ones (well, for example, Windows Explorer :)))) then this
It’s shit and no one normal uses them. I don't really understand why
Spec didn't take root with two-panel? I only saw two commanders with 2
panels: Honey Commander and, like, Beta Commander. All.
[I.ZX][DnB][ASM] Let's write again, Denis!

SS>>> No need for 2 panels due to lack

PK>> That's what I'm talking about...
Of course! There is no need to do anything. TR-DOS interface is a dream
user.
I understand the dispute 2 <--> 4 panels, because with 4 panels
It’s a pleasure to work with (disc gnaw 4), but the symbols are crooked, and 2 panels
- beautiful, but not so informative.
Although, after sitting for some time under the Light HDD commander, I
I was convinced that 4 panels with their functionality are much more
cover the inconvenience when reading small text!!!
And what about the 1st panel..... When people also had no HDD
there was 1 disk drive - it was relevant, but guys, it's time
somehow develop!!!
YN> What, lazy to do? I understand!
Most likely.

Hello Eugene!
Eugene Palenock ==========> Pawel Kislyak:
EP> What is the latest version of the subject for flashing into ROM?
RC 1.96
EP> What fundamentally new things will RC 2.0 have?
Fundamentally new - two-panel, modular system.
The design turned out well, I even like it myself ;),
There is no longer a 32-character printer.
I'll try to post screenshots on realsoft.nm.ru in the near future.
EP> Will it also be flashed in ROM?
Yes, there will be a separate program for generating roms with modules.
EP> There seem to be some additional modules there?
I don’t know if it will happen for sure, but they promised: Formatter, HDD driver, Turbo Loader,
General Sound, SCL, TRD, Hrip, Tetris, scripting language. Well from me too
PT3 player, Doctor, maybe something else.
At the request of the people there will also be a utility that allows you to generate in one
BASIC RC file with selected modules.
EP> And what of what is in 1.9x in ROM will not be in 2.0 in ROM?
The only question is how many modules will fit in the ROM, of course the version
2.0 will be larger in size and it will no longer be possible to cram it into 16k
RC with modules for doctor, viewer, formatter and player. I'll have to
sacrifice some module, but there is also 32k ROM.
At this stage there is already a fully functional two-panelversion, now I’m starting directly to debugging and optimization
modular system, I will soon be sending it out to everyone who has submitted
desire to write your own modules beta version of RC.
Bye!

Hello Pawel!
05 Mar 01 10:54, Pawel Kislyak -> Eugene Palenock:
EP>> What is the latest version of the subject for flashing into ROM?
PK> RC 1.96
I started making a ROM disk in page 4 27512, and arose
next question. Like a standard subject loader
does "basic128" work?
#0000 DI
LD HL,#0068
LD DE,#71F8
LD BC,#3DC5
LDIR
LD DE,#5C00
LD BC,#0173
LDIR
Well, that's understandable...
XOR A
LD HL,#71F8
LD BC,#3DC5
M1 ADD A,(HL)
LD E,A
INC HL
DEC B.C.
LD A,B
OR C
LD A,E
JR NZ,M1
SUB #95
LD (#5D3F),A
is this what the CRC considers? Why such a delay in the form of reading?
Is CRC needed before starting from _ROM_?
In case the ROM floats? ;)
Or maybe it's better this way:
D.I.
XOR A
EX AF,AF'
LD HL,#0068
LD DE,#71F8
LD BC,#3DC5
M1 EX AF,AF'
ADD A,(HL)
EX AF,AF'
LDI
LD A,B
OR C
JP NZ,M1
SUB #95
LD (#5D3F),A
LD DE,#5C00
LD BC,#0173
LDIR
After all, the subject will start almost twice as fast.By the way, the ROM version will work if it has this
ROM page will not be available after startup?
Best regards, Evgeniy.

Eugene Palenock ==========> Pawel Kislyak:
EP> does this count as CRC? Why such a delay in the form of reading

The check was initially focused on shadow RAM

EP>XOR A

EP> LD HL,#0068

EP> After all, the subject will start almost twice as fast.A good idea, but it would be even faster like this:

EP> ROM page will not be available after startup ?
It will.
