Be sure to look at the CP.EXE shell in PTS-DOS - this is exactly what you need
Spectrum. And not one panel or two (and not three or four).

Having one commander who is more or less satisfactory, you will use the second one in

For some reason I thought that people were copying programs from commanders, but it turned out they were
Magic is tight. That's bad luck.
PK> often a stealth boot hangs in this place,
This is the first time I've heard about this. I don’t rule out that there is some other SUPER-PUPER
BOOT, which will sit there. So what of this? Why is DirSys worse than stealth boot? B
after all, no sane person would create catalogs on
all disks in a row. It is convenient to sort music, pictures,
sources, texts, etc. and it’s unlikely that on such discs it would occur to anyone
press Magic or install stealth boot.
PK> yes and no guarantees that
PK> some program will not spoil these sectors (stealth boot is easy

“Yes, and there are no guarantees that some program” will not erase the zero track, not
will format the disk, not... They are afraid of wolves - don’t go into the forest. "100% guaranteeOnly a dead man can give that he will not rise" (c) one of the science fiction writers, S. Lem
in my opinion.
PK> Secondly
PK> when compacting a disk from another commander, files in directories

And if you compress the system with something else, which will sit in a separate file,
then nothing will get mixed up? Of course, you can specify the location not by numbers, but
names - in this case everything will suffer (from copying to renaming
other commanders) but MOVE will work everywhere. And let's stick it there too
additional attributes as suggested by Kirill Frolov, then there will be a miracle
half a disc. Yes, from the very beginning DirSys was invented as the most simple and
compatible system. Well, it's not possible to make directories for TR-DOS with 100%
compatibility where not to place and how not to organize additional
information about directories: even in a zero track, even in a separate file, even for 159
track, one way or another something will conflict.
PK> although you can refuse to use other commands
PK> in favor of the directory, but TRDN itself has not yet learned how to compact
He almost knows how to do it, just a little bit left. Yes, and in the help it was written that this
not even a beta version, but just a demo demonstrating the capabilities of catalogs
TR-DOS.
PK> andPK> copy.
Also very soon, immediately after MOVE. These are almost similar operations.
PK> For the sake of experiment, I copied a couple of files to disk

Something is not very hard to believe. But in any case, until I finished TRDN, talk about
anything early. Or are you trying to get me to give up everything? So it's easier than
add.

Most likely it was not TRDN's fault, but a glitch in the directory system
disk that came via echo. SU> But in any case, I haven’t finished TRDN yet

I’m not trying to achieve this, on the contrary, I think it’s healthy competition

These are probably those who bought the drive yesterday ;-).

Of course it’s simple, but the Turbo-loader is clearly not enough, well
as in Global Commander 1.31i, I find it very convenient
feaster and compactor.

Tormoz is not iS-DOS, but a user. Because he can’t configure the system so
so that it doesn't slow down. If you launch from the flop, then of course it will slow down.

I absolutely agree - the tape recorder emulator (aka TR-DOS) is super slow
for Spectrum.
