help me find a compressor

Hello, All friends, help me find an old compressor... year of creation approximately 91-92 I first saw data packed with this compressor in a demo from ZYX (huge the number of music from games and a scroller in the middle third of about forty minutes). Farovskie plugins recognize it as CC4 nothing special in terms of compression (byte stream, RLE, links back (LZ87)), but there are several interesting features: - separate codes for sequences 0 and 0xff - codes for arithmetic sequences (first term and term) - codes for repeating bytes coming after one/two bytes - codes for packaging sequences with small scatter (<16) - and others if there is an unpacker in the attachment... Hello Titus Tit> ZYX's packed this demo with their own ZYX's packer i.e. didn't it exist as a separate application?

From rasmer To All 22 January 2007

Hello elf/2 elf> i.e. did it not exist as a separate application? Well, if it existed, it was only apparently for internal use....

Hello, rasmer ras> well, if it existed, it was only visible to the internal ras> uses.. Not only that, I definitely have it, but now I still can’t get to the disks.

From rasmer To All 22 January 2007

Hello Titus a little offtopic.... and about their most famous demo (the most musical demo, also probably everyone also knows their most beautiful boot of all time) - not only that that, as often happens, messages to some people are hidden behind zero attributes people, they are also written in hex format... at one time I only mastered half of one of them, I didn’t have enough for more...

Hello elf/2 elf> i.e. did it not exist as a separate application? It still existed, and was at one time the most popular, because it was very It pressed well, although it had a rather slow unpacker.

From Andrey Alexandrovich Titov To All 23 January 2007

Hello elf/2 elf> guys, please share... ideally with the packer itself, but how elf> minimum name (I'll try to look for it myself then) I don’t remember exactly its name, but in my opinion, the name contained the word ZYX: v2_blush:

Hello elf/2 elf> guys, please share... ideally with the packer itself, but how elf> minimum name (I'll try to look for it myself then) Something like ZYXcomp.B, interface without anything, black screen, white letters, original. That's roughly what I remember.

From Sergey Kuznetsov To All 23 January 2007

Hello bpm I think I found exactly what I needed. There is still a lot of unnecessary garbage on the disk, but I leave it as it is. File: 5.zip http://zx.pk.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=4474

Hello elf/2 elf> guys, please share... ideally with the packer itself, but how elf> minimum name (I'll try to look for it myself then) I have it in my NOSTALGY ZX SPECTRUM collection. Two archivists under both named names. It looks like there is the same file inside both archives. vBv. File: zyx-comp.zip http://zx.pk.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=4528
