What's wrong?

Hello, another new All! My computer has been glitching for a couple of years now, the glitch is like this when working in Windows windowed applications such as IE, Word, etc (this is especially common when intensive text scrolling), a video glitch appears in the form of reddish ripples across entire screen, after which within a few seconds it is possible to catch close all applications and reboot normally, but sometimes not - computer hangs (may let you close applications, but freeze during the shutdown process). What It’s more likely that it’s buggy - the motherboard or video card (AMD motherboard Chaintec VIA KT133 7AJA_something_there, and Chaintec's Geforce 4 MX 440 64Mb), operating system Win98SE (ME seems to have not installed properly with this video card at all, and I I didn’t try much, and I didn’t try other systems). The glitch occurs _only_ when working in such applications (by the way, it never hangs in windowed golded), in console-DOS mode, and in modern three-dimensional games there is never anything It's buggy and doesn't hang. Before this I had a Riva TNT 2 M64Pro card, at first everything was fine it worked, and then as a result of something it sometimes started knocking out the monitor into an unsupported frequency range (But the described glitch did not exist, this it just appeared with a new card).
