From Eugene Palenock To Artem O. Kozakov 26 December 2000

Hello Artem! 07 Dec 00 20:49, Artem O. Kozakov -> Pawel Kislyak: PK>> Has anyone encountered the problem of installing drivers for PK>> DOS for integrated AC'97 sound on a motherboard built on PK>> VIA KT133A chipset? When loading a DOS driver, it is issued PK>> message: AK> look in more detail - in my BIOS, in addition to the enable option AK> integrated sound there is also an option Sound Blaster - Enabled :) and next AK> settings for IRQ, Address, etc. after the blaster is resolved everything is fine AK> is loading (in the sense of Viavi software) and everyone can see the DOS toys. Even Windows AK> when first installed, finds the blaster and plays music through it :) P.S. AK> Soltek SL-75KV+ I have another problem - I downloaded the driver (for VT82C686A), installed - everything is OK... But the modem gone!!! The driver sets the sound to IRQ3, and BIOS says IRQ7. And in Win I have IRQ7 and IRQ9 - free... I tried manual configuration - this is how the addresses change, and about IRQ - “this parameter cannot be changed”... Now it’s either sound or a modem... Of course you can try to transfer the modem to another IRQ (courier internal)... Best regards, Evgeniy.
