And apparently your motherboard doesn’t match in this regard plan with disk drives. I personally have seen approximately the same number of disk drives for each of two standards, both 5.25" and 3.5". In one standard you can start the engine separately and select the drive, in another engine launches for everyone at once. Apparently they wanted to optimize the first option FDD performance in terms of current consumption and pre-spin-up. === Home Windows Clipboard === First option N Signal 1 Ground 2 N/C 3 Ground 4 N/C 5 Ground 6 N/C 7 Ground 8 Index 9 Ground 10 Motor Enable A 11 Ground 12 Drive Select B 13 Ground 14 Drive Select A 15 Ground 16 Motor Enable B 17 Ground 18 Stepper Direction 19 Ground 20 Step Pulse 21 Ground 22 Write Data 23 Ground 24 Write Enable 25 Ground 26 Track 0 27 Ground28 Write Protect 29 Ground 30 Read Data 31 Ground 32 Select Head 1 33 Ground 34 (Spare) второй вариант N Сигнал 1 Ground 2 Reduced Write 3 Ground 4 Reserved 5 Ground 6 Drive Select 3 7 Ground 8 Index 9 Ground 10 Drive Select 0 11 Ground 12 Drive Select 1 13 Ground 14 Drive Select 2 15 Ground 16 Motor On 17 Ground 18 Direction Select 19 Ground 20 Step 21 Ground 22 Write Data 23 Ground 24 Write Gate 25 Ground 26 Track 0 27 Ground 28 Write Protect 29 Ground 30 Read Data 31 Ground 32 Side 1 Select 33 Diskette Change 34 Ground === Конец Windows Clipboard === С уважением, Евгений.

From Eugene Palenock To Valerij Kozhevnikoff 30 March 2001

Hello Valerij! 30 Mar 01 02:17, Valerij Kozhevnikoff -> Eugene Palenock: EP>> 33 Ground EP>> 33 Diskette Change Does the use of pin 33 as a non-GND confuse you? But now I specifically looked at Epson double (5.25+3.5) - it has 33 contacts not on the ground but somewhere coming. And it has a separate choice of motors (SelA, SelB, MotorA, MotorB, I remade it for the Spectrum - I know). VK> Where does the info come from? I found it somewhere on the internet... Best regards, Evgeniy.
