Slow down the network

Hello(s), All...! I will be connecting (at work) via fiber optic instead of copper pair. Accordingly, the speed will increase by orders of magnitude. Question: what is the most rational subj? Well, so that in one 15-minute break they don’t deflate weekly traffic norm :) . Limit, say, to 256 KB/s. I know the option of limiting traffic on a proxy server, but this not really. If it becomes possible to reduce the speed by hardware on the equipment - we'll see, but it's unlikely that this will happen. Exactly lower data transfer speed, rather than limiting traffic.
