How can the BIOS switch spontaneously?
HDD and FDD from Read/write to Read only? In this case, the computer does not boot.
After switching back, everything works.
And so 2 times with an interval of about six months.
See you later, All!

I agree, but recently I had to switch to XP because it’s under 2K
A good half of the installations refused to work (AVP, USB driver, sound driver and
others and a few more programs that I really need). As it turned out later, not
me alone. So I would also attribute WXP_Prof_SP1int to W2K

Well, there are a lot of teapots.
It was necessary to rename the admin profile or reassign temp and tmp so that
there were no Russian letters on the way. What is said in the Windows fak and in the AVP fak
said...
Best regards, Eugene.

Can you tell me more precisely what needs to be done and where to change? I installed everything before
worked fine. And then I formatted the screws, installed W2K on you!

If you are alone, your computer is at home and you do not use security policies, then
you can just go to my computer - properties - advanced - variables
environment. User variables can be easily removed, but system variables temp and
tmp is assigned to the c: emp folder.
And if you are not alone and users should not have access to other people’s folders, then:
3.05. How to rename the Administrator account folder?
Log in to the system under the administrator account, create a folder with the desired name
in the Documents and Settings directory. Then right click on the “My” icon
computer" -> Properties -> User Profiles, click
button "Copy..." ("Copy To...") and copy the administrator profile to
the created folder. If you are using the NTFS file system, then you may
you will have to manually copy the Local Settings folder. Next, run regedit and
find the key: HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionProfileListIn this key we find the branch corresponding to the administrator’s profile and in it
correct the "ProfileImagePath" parameter to the required one. Let's re-login if everything is done
went well, you can delete the old folder - it will no longer be needed.
Best regards, Evgeniy.
