Let me answer some questions, because... still on topic :)
Pau> 1. What is the difference between versions p1 and p4? And why was this garden fenced in?
Pau> in general?
It was worth it. P4 has a fairly large % prediction miss (poorly optimized
code), due to which the application takes up more processor time. Tangibly
more.
Pau> 2. What is the difference between unreal.ini and slowcomp.ini?
Regular version and for slow computers. Take them and compare them, what option is in
slowcomp is disabled.
Pau> 3. Why does the p4 version crash on AthlonXP? AthlonXP - this turns out to be
Pau> slowcomp aka p1 ?
Because AXP does not support SSE2 instructions, which are used in
optimized for P4. And slowcomp is not p1, just different ini files, and
nothing prevents you from using the ini file from P4 for AXP.

There have always been optimizations for P4 only because P4 itself is not optimized

maybe the NetBurst architecture is not very successful and is being developed now
Intel processors do not continue it, but represent a development of p-III, but msvc
makes no difference for integer optimization between p4 and athlon (both
use the key "cpu generation" /g7), only on p4 when using sse it is possible
unrolling cycles 4/8/16 times. Athlone, perhaps, is also “not optimized in terms of

The Shalaev emulator is somehow wrong IMHO... =(
I have never met such a sound card that it would support.

And on the laptop there’s finally a super sound system, it works under DOS (never anything
I’ve never seen anything like this) without drivers!, you can boot from a boot floppy

it is full of music and effects (I had sound boxes with firewood for dos
only those capable of reproducing sound without music or vice versa were determined).
As soon as I didn’t force the Shalaev emulsion to see different sounds, no and that’s it...
So I put R80 and Unreal 22b there
and Unreal 33 no longer supports Windows 98, I wonder who they are using it for
sharpen? if you need win 2000/XP which in turn needs at least 256

there were 32 bits. And for some reason everything became gray during resample. Or because of blt.
It seems like nothing else has changed. And it really looks terribly pale at the same time:
dark gray something slides over black.
There is such a problem with sound. I fought, I have experience. You can't push in 1 second
as many samples as the nominal 44 or 48KHz parameter. Time
on the machine and on the monitor it goes differently, and there is also no certainty that the time is
the sound card exactly matches the machine's time. I tried to do
an adaptive algorithm so that it would adjust itself, but something didn’t work out very well.
It's growing in your forehead, in the end it's about 1.5-2 times per second, just somewhere
the extra buffer is swallowed (at least that’s how it sounds to my bearish ears).
I still don’t understand what’s the point of mixing 4 frames in time except
unnecessary smearing. When I set 2, at least something was visible (even in the dark

With octaves - just do transposition.
In GS, as I understand it, it’s done like on Amiga, 3 acts lower.
I’m going to compare how it will be to play in real life the other day, although Karbofos has
366 computer version of Anril 21 no clicks.

octave Do you mean transposition? I need exactly those notes - as background notes
noises or something. There's nothing else there... And they don't want to produce samples. Those. in octaves from 2
up to 6 samples for yourself... and on the 1st and 8th there is already “ambient”, so to speak.
It is important that everything is OK with bass.dll

Well, it’s theoretically possible to add two mega memory to the GS? - Maybe! Yes
just like a meg can be attached to a scorpio, although the vast majority have 256k
and no more. In this case, it would be possible to leave only Scorpion 256 emulation
and that’s all, and then ask the question - “why do you need a meter on the scorpion?” :)
Is this really so difficult to implement?
It is clear that there are no games that would use more than 512 kilograms of GS memory.

It seems like turbo may differ from turbo on scorps (correct me if I’m wrong
I say). Therefore, it would be possible to simply increase
the frequency of the emulated processor is 1.7 - 1.8 times, and this would be more than

And I think there is no need to measure WAITs, because... haven't seen (or heard) any

about GS - whoever needs it, let them change 2 constants in the source code: mask,
which trims the page value from the memory port and the size of the memory buffer
G.S. entering into the settings means writing a bunch of things that no one needs (well, maybe 1 time
use it, just look and say "gyyy") code - reading from ini, showing
in gui settings. and, most importantly, a constant brake (using a variable, yes
even in critical places, instead of a constant). think for yourself - us0.01 could
emulate Pent512+AY+COVOX+SD+TRDOS+TAPE. had a debugger almost the same as
now. and all this - in 57kb. and what do we have now? at first glance, nothing
no significant additions were made. and the size is 613k. all because of some worthless people
features, such as pasting text from the clipboard (anyone uses this thread? or a feature for
one person?), ibm keyboard/HDD/CD with its own controllers in ATM,
which are needed by 2-3 people. and any feature eats up productivity at least
in that you need to check in a loop that it is turned off. nah. I'll switch to
enabling features at compile time, just like in Linux. select a set of features,
Reassemble the emulsion and enjoy. without any ini/gui

Hello SMT
SMT> well then it's a draw
You didn’t manage to convince me, I still won’t agree to a draw.
Because:
1. Selecting the size of GS memory is necessary, because in nature there are (and these are not
delights of iron workers) boards with and without expander. For example, if a person
writes software that should be able to work with both GS466 and GS115, then the second mode
It will not be possible for him to fully debug it in the emulator. Well, if so, then 2 mega is possible
put it in the config. ;)
2. It would also be nice to make a turbo on a scorpion, because why should I switch to
modes of all sorts of Pentagons, when I had a Scorpio all my life and I pored over
ini file not to change the config later while working in the emulator
when the brakes appear. This is a matter of convenience, and of realism (and isn’t it
this is the desire) of the emulator, of course :)
PS; A; that the size of the emulator has “inflated” so it’s a PC, everything is so long ago
got used to it. It’s one thing if he’s bloated from lameness, but a completely different thing if
as the volume increases and features are added, in this case the size is justified. Vaughn
the performance artist generally weighs two and a half meters, and no one is complaining. :)

SMT!!! PC layout is definitely super! I was about to get drunk from
happiness... as it turned out, that’s not how it should be.
1. If PC layout is on, then combinations with symbol shift do not work. Those. in Alasma
You cannot use ss+qwer commands, etc. But it is necessary. Those. for example I hang up ZXcapsShift
on LR shift. A ZXsymbolShift to LR Ctrl. and ctrl+q = ss+q, etc.
In this form, the PC layout makes you drool with happiness and in the end
cool to break off :(
2. and yet I dare to ask once again to JUST add
if Rshift (by default=ZXsymbShift) + ";" = ZX":" (or other in .ini)
if Rshift (by default=ZXsymbShift) + " ' " = ZX" ' " (or other in .ini)
That is the same 2 buttons, only with Spekov’s symbolShift (in the role of which
default right shift or other from ini)
(I hope I explained it clearly and understood)
I dream even more about realization.

Hello Alex/AT
People, have you ever thought that emuls were not originally intended to replace
a specific piece of hardware, but for its preliminary running-in? All over the world
serious things are first raced in the simulator, and then go into production. Here
therefore, the emulator should contain a maximum of all kinds of features, including
and unrealized (promising). And support for more than 512Kb in GS is just from
a series of things needed more by the emulator than by real hardware.

Such a question. Will Emul be able to support Baltic?
If he can, then insert his support.
Next. KAY works incorrectly. Most likely my ROMs are configured incorrectly.
Tell me how to make KAY work?
Is it time to switch to standard Win settings? The ini file changes every time.
It gets annoying to have to constantly re-configure.
Question. Why is the emulsion number 0.35? After all, the program is fully functional.

Under no circumstances!
Otherwise, an emulsion configured for a specific clone cannot be given to a “friend” (i.e.
by simple copying).
INI - rulez, Windows garbage dump (registry) - terrible crap.
What was useful was to select the desired clone from the list when starting the emulator
(menu). To do this, for example, create a certain head INI, which has links to
the rest of the INI files, it would be very convenient (so as not to create directories, like
me).

computers That is, take all the best from real life and create a new virtual computer from it.

not only they are valuable, but also an enthusiastic programmer who is “burning” with a certain idea,

Hello elf
I speak from personal experience - it is very difficult to understand anril.
not only does SMT use all sorts of tricks to increase performance
(I won’t give an example now, but there are tricks when instead of a pack of if-s
shift and and by bit mask is used), and the fact that the classes are there
are mainly used only as namespace.
and IMHO it’s difficult to expand anril without understanding it completely (and this takes a lot of time)
my brainchild is simpler in this regard (but also much weaker compared to anril).
PS IMHO Anril is good as is. For me personally this is the number 1 emulator for windows

Why save and restore if you don’t have to do these gestures?
rave.
In addition, ini is convenient because editing it does not involve
the performance of the emulator. for example: I’ve seen this on some computers
a bug that completely changes the screen layout from horizontal to
vertical. respectively, mouse movement, and much more. much easier
fix the outside ini instead of randomly poking at a glitched picture.

Immediately a question for AlCo;
Again; There are glitches with BASS. Chase H.Q. (GS version) loaded first
normal, but the wrong Mouzon was in the menu, and when starting the game the emulsion crashed.
After that, all GS programs hang up the emulsion. :(
If SoundDrv is set to wave, the emulator does not hang up, but it’s still easier
doesn't become.
