L2 cache

Hello, All!
Why might the subject not work? And if you asked - if everyone reading this
the letter will now go into the BIOS and disable the L2 cache - will this have a significant impact on
productivity? 2 times, 10 or 100?
Mother Iwill XA-100 (Acer Aladdin 5 chipset) 512 kb subject, 128 Mb RAM, K6-2 stone
266/66, works like 263/75. Let me clarify: the subject is external, i.e. not on the processor.
Video - Riva128 4 Mb.
I tore down the W98, installed ME on a new clean screw, and decided to figure out why
I have problems with some games. Games that use an accelerator (such as Half-Life
and Quake3) work great, but in games where the CPU load is high (Unreal and Quake2
in software mode) - the brakes are wild. Celeron 366/66 is faster at work
works...
I was guilty of software glitches, but as it turned out the software had nothing to do with it...
I launched Final reality, ran it through and through, then disabled the subject in the BIOS, repeated
again, from start to finish. The difference in performance is 1-10%. And in 2D without subject
in some places it even works faster :-/ Is this how it should be?
Now the subject is turned off, I started everyone here, I’m reading mail in Golded -
no difference.
2EVP: remember, I brought you my video camera? What are we up to then?
we figured it out, remember? It seems like you were still rearranging Windows back then...
WBR, Jason.
