Hello, alexeenko ale> 1. screen through the line :v2_eek; Video; -> low quality <- uncheck. ale> 2. creaking sound :v2_walkm; ale>; 3. everything slows down :v2_crazy; UnrealSpeccy; designed for fast computers with Windows 2000; system requirements are quite high for Spectrum emulator, but acceptable (or relatively low?) for today's hardware ;-) What computer are you running it on? ale> 4. I can’t read the instructions in English :v2_wacko; teach!;

Hello, alexeenko ale> On 4 stumps 3000 mhz, 1024, video RADEON 9800 128k, WINDOWS XP SERV PACK ale> 2 hmm... this should be enough for UnrealSpeccy, I have a similar configuration - no problems. So look at the settings.

Hello, [bETA]mEN bET> mEN]what computer are you running it on? On 4 stumps 3000 mhz, 1024, video RADEON 9800 128k, WINDOWS XP SERV PACK 2

From Alexandr Sinyakov To All 19 June 2006

Hello, [bETA]mEN bET> mEN']hmm... this should be enough for UnrealSpeccy Not “hmm... it should be enough,” but “it’s enough.” I ran Unreal under XP SP1 on the stump 266 MHz with 8 MB video and nothing slowed down!!! You just need to dig into the ini in the video & sound sections (+roms, if necessary) - a few minutes experimentation and everything!

Hello, alexeenko ale> Here Newart, as always, set everything up and posted the registered UNREAL. I ale> downloaded it and immediately became happy: v2_biggr; !; ale> ale> Really cool stuff. Loads everything that the speculator does not load and ale> my favorite emulsion is Zet Win 2.5. The controls are of course crooked, but ale> plays GENERAL SOUND. Thanks to Newart for UNREAL XP FIX. :v2_clapp; ale>; ale> Out of joy, I posted it on my website: ale> http://zxaaa.narod.ru/EMUL/UNREALFIX.ZIP By the way, on my website http://atmturbo.nedopc.com in the "emulators" section also lies fully configured for ATM 1 AND 2 Anryl. Download, use ATM in virtual.

Hello, R.S. > What can you dig in the config? SoundDrv=wave instead of SoundDrv=ds?

From Rudykh Sergey To All 26 August 2006

Hello, alexeenko I also have a question - Unreal Speccy P4, which seems to be the most recently released, has one unpleasant feature, namely sticky keys. Launched on it T.Renegade, and periodically I discover that it is moving in one direction sticks, then into another. Vin XP pro, 2 SP, gig RAM, 3.2 processor, sound Audiga second... I screwed up the sound for a reason - I just have a suspicion that this Trouble because of the sound. If in the same T. Rene you turn off the background 128 k music, sticking disappears. What can you dig in the config?

From Evgeny Muchkin To All 26 August 2006

Hello SMT Anril is the best thing you can imagine. For those whose keys are stuck, try the settings of Autofire and other Kempstons joysticks. For those who don't have the right colors, try the video mode settings. 5 minutes and get some candy! :) PS; A; In Scorpio mode, for some reason, after 5-10 resets the emulator freezes. Maybe this, of course, is the emulated scorpion hanging, but still. Can only be treated restarting the emulator :( But nevertheless, Unreal rules, here!

Hello hero I wonder if ShareCpu is turned off, what will Windows do?

From Dmitry Demyanenko To All 26 August 2006

Hello, R.S. Maybe the computer is slowing down, I only experience such glitches when I’m on battery I'm playing around, but for some reason Windows doesn't want to raise the frequency when running US and percent It hangs at 300 MHz for me. Glitch?? WinXP Home Edition SP2 all power saving settings are normal and even during operation WinRAR frequency jumps.

From Rudykh Sergey To All 26 August 2006

Hello, Evgeny Muchkin Yes, I’m not saying that I don’t like Unreal in any way :) Quite the opposite - otherwise it would and didn’t ask how to set it up. In general, in the sound properties I already had SoundDrv=wave, I set it myself before. Changed the buffer - because at default value constant during playback There are clicks in the music in the demos - the sound is either loading or something else. It is written that it is better to change the buffer to 16, I changed it - the clicks became much less frequent. Now the buffer is 64, but they are still there. And on the keys: the problem is that no matter what buttons I put into the control - OPQA, UIWS, etc. - it doesn’t matter, sometimes some direction gets stuck and you need to Press the same button several times to “release” it. Even in the demo menu - press “down” and watch the list scroll by itself. Now I removed 1 from EnableCPU Sharing and set the emulator to an increased priority in Windows. It seems to have gotten better.

Hello SMT SMT> I wonder what Windows will do if ShareCpu is turned off I was also interested :) but which of us is the creator of this emulator? ;) In theory, turning off processor sharing should lead to selfishness of the emulator, and in combined with raising the priority in Windows - generally to its exclusive processing and reducing my problems. In practice, I didn’t notice anything special - the percentage did not become more loaded, other applications did not want to slow down either. I work from the network, but even on battery percentage does not reduce the frequency, because The laptop has a desktop P4. Found the optimal solution - set the value BASS in the GeneralSound item (it was Z80) - and downloaded the latest version of bass.dll from virtual tr-dos; tried it launch t.rene with background music - in principle, very good. even cool, for everything the time it took to get to the boss was only two or three sticking, which I’m actually already used to :) I just immediately press it again side.
