Subject: new HDDL v2.0
Hello All.
We bring to your attention a new version of our HDDL utility - version 2.0.
The program allows you to:
- Search for bad and long-reading blocks on the disk,
and, in some cases, restoration/replacement of such units.
- Build a time graph for verifying disk sectors in LBA mode,
which allows you to visually assess the quality of the disk surface.
- Change configuration settings of the screw - cache operating mode,
LBA limit, noise level, etc.
- Manage screw password protection
- Load external microcode into the screw, for example, for updating
microprograms
- View SMART attributes, error and test logs,
and also run SMART diagnostics.
- View and edit the contents of disk sectors
- Work with screw IDE registers - send commands, read
results, exchange data blocks with the screw, etc.
The following major changes are made in version 2.0:
- Added a disk sector editor that allows you to change
contents of any sector accessible via LBA.
- Added a mode for quickly erasing a disk through the subsystem
password protection.
- Added the ability to create and edit the clipboard
- Clipboard size increased to 512K.- Fixed loader loader, now you can load any loader
sizes up to 32K.
- In the sector verification utility, time is now set in milliseconds,
At the same time, the resolution of the clock is increased by 4 times. Also
Fixed bug with incorrect LBA increment size.
- The procedure for plotting the verification speed graph has been seriously changed,
Now it doesn’t hang for a long time on bad sectors.
- The length of the description line of a saved command has been increased to 50 bytes.
Well, as usual, old glitches have been removed and new ones have been added.
The most important thing: you can take the program at
ftp://195.209.232.10/pub/soft/hddl20.rar
Now this server is somewhat overloaded - there are too many applicants
download the file and rushed to it at the same time. If the file is not sent -
try again later.
Holders of technical sites can host this program,
without asking permission. The only request is to place a link to
our ftp.
