From Wladimir Bulchukey To All 23 June 2005

Hello(s), All...! Hardware issue. The subject item in the screen properties is grayed out. Video card S3 Trio 3D/2X. On other machines with more powerful video cards I configured (due to the transition to TFT monitors - on their 17 inches it is small by default, and, as you know, changing the screen resolution is not recommended; have to change the subject). What is this, now we’re trying to fool our bosses about a new video card? Thank you. By the way, I don’t know how to upgrade the LCD monitor later because of this... The resolution needs to be set high... And if you enlarge the fonts, they don’t just get bigger: 1.line spacing is lost. 2.almost all the tray icons are spoiled; they are not just blots, but definitely drawn and dynamically displaying something. 3.Images are scaled in the browser. Not scary for photos, but for sure The rendered graphics are terrible. As a result, I live at 1024*768 by 17"... Because it turned out to increase the fonts unacceptable. Best regards, Evgeniy.

Hello, Eugene...! 24 Jun 05 03:08, Eugene Palenock -> Valerij Kozhevnikoff: EP> By the way, I don’t know how to upgrade the LCD monitor later because of this... EP> The resolution should be set high... And if you enlarge the fonts, then I have a situation determined by circumstances, but not by my own choice - SES requires changing monitors to LCDs according to hygiene standards for schools. Now we have allocated funds and bought the first 5 monitors. Axle everywhere W2K Prof. The firewood for the S3 Trio is original from the manufacturer, under W2K. Now we're trying to decide which is better: increase the font size with the inevitable sacrifice of side effects, or leave the standard 96 dpi at 1280x1024 pixels on 17 inches and sticking your nose into the screen, which is also not good... S3 Trio will probably have to be replaced with a modern card. S3 Trio, apparently, will have to be replaced with a modern card. By the way, the font changes in two places. 1. you apparently know; 2. screen properties - design - font size. The effects are completely different. The second one seems to have fewer glitches. Best regards, Evgeniy.

If you are talking about “better” in terms of video input and video output, then look at what kind of chips are there there are entrances and exits. In general, they did not change often; there are 4 of them for inputs. The development was in terms of teletext support (if the signal from the video from the tuner catch), and increase the speed and quality of capture. And the viewing mode is everywhere (with inputs built into the video card) are approximately the same. Hello, _/All/_! I don’t know why you’re arguing here, but I currently have a TFT 17” monitor. at a resolution of 1280*1024, and everything is clearly visible, no need to move your nose. Vision I am -5, and yet... Others who have visited me agree with this. Maybe it depends on specific monitors? PS: I have a Samsung SyncMaster 710N. See you again! Best regards, Thann.

Well, that means your eyesight is weak and you’re lucky, I personally haven’t seen a single one "liquid" monitor where the interpolated resolution would look normal. I’m talking about how the photos look on cheap (less than $1000-$1500) TFT monitors In general, I’m silent - it’s complete garbage. Because I'm a photographer, this crap isn't good for me. in general, only CRT. By the way, 800x600 is generally very small for work, on both of mine 17" costs 1152x864 and I really want to buy a 19" one for my home cathode ray monitor until they completely disappear from sale, so that increase the resolution further. Happy connections. Roman.
