Emulation VG93: disk present?
ZXNet echo conference «zxnet.pc»
From Oleg Golenkoff → To All 21 June 2006
Hello, All
So I needed to write something for the “doors” here, namely a bootloader with
floppy disks. The thing is good, not complicated :) but a question arose.
What happens if, when you try to read a file, the floppy disk itself is missing? :( what
will it be? That’s right, we’ll either go to the garden, or we’ll stupidly wait until they put it in :(
depends on the loader version...
I talked to Sinus, he gave me the idea of checking with an index hole.
I rummaged through the internet and even found an article by Ivan Roshchin “TR-DOS; how; to prevent
errors?" [http://ivr.webzone.ru/articles/d_ready/index.htm]
everything seems clear and wonderful, but! the question arose, is there an emulator that
will be able to repeat this miracle of technology?
unfortunately Unreal and RealSpeccy unanimously said that the disc is PRESENT all the time, although
there was no trace of them there :( but EmuZWIN, when they shoved a floppy disk into him, changed
status on "NOT PRESENT" :rolleyes; k; Unfortunately, I can’t remove the floppy disk.
succeeded :( due to the lack of such an option...
Interested in knowing the developers' opinion? who will say what?
I’ll attach a snapshot with the floppy test if I fail to compile the sources from the article ;)
