There was some info here about getting a subject in the spb.ru zone. Можно её
повторить? :)

I don’t remember such information. But registration in the .spb.ru zone is free, provided that
you have two DNS servers that can support this domain. Information
available at relcom.ru / relcom.com.

Yes, any (almost any?) provider can provide you with such a subject.
Look at the provider’s websites for prices and all that.
All the best,
Alexander.

For the prices for these domains, the provider can get a header because the domains are in the zone
.spb.ru cannot be the subject of purchase or sale. That's what they say at Relcom. :)

What is it that forces you to lower the level of your domain? 8) Why not
use the highest available level - zxvega.spb.ru? I don't think they will
different services were used on different IPs on the subdomains www, ftp, binkd, irc and
etc. This is so true. They just finish off messages like “I registered with you
domain www.tralala.ru...", although we register such domains only for the second
level...

Only for some reason in the price lists they write the cost of “annual support” for an address in the zone
.ru and .spb.ru. I'm not sure about the "price for creating an address."
But I remember that in the .s-pb.ru zone it was cheaper.
Please note - the money is not taken for selling the address, but for supporting your
records on the DNS server. Well, actually.... :)
All the best,
Alexander.

Money is taken for:
1) registration (for a period of one year, then re-registration).
2) support for recording in DNS
3) "hosting"
4) because you were “prop(ed)ed”
If you don’t need 3 and 4, but can do point 2 yourself, all you have to do is pay
only for point 1, which sometimes happens for free.

I have both zxvega.spb.ru and www.zxvega.spb.ru
It’s just that the second one looks “more respectable” :)

Do you really think so? ;) The more characters you have to type, the
there is a greater chance of typos. It’s not for nothing that cybersquatters register domains like
wwwchtototam.ru. There is _no_ dot after www, and chtototam.ru is one of
popular and well-promoted domains. And people get caught.
