*.chm I want to watch

A lot of *.chm files began to appear that did not look good:
"The program did something wrong... at address 0: the memory cannot be read"...
This is in Windows.
At first I thought that the *.chm file was corrupted. Then I accidentally thought of it
apply chmtool to such files in linux. So far two of them have been successfully dealt with
in pieces, another one is gone.
Maybe my Windows is outdated? NT4.0+SP6a + IE6.0. It seems to be for *.chm
IE answers, so I have it relatively new. Strange. :-/
But there is a problem with *html files sorted into a bunch - there is no content
and it’s not clear from which end to read all this, there are also broken links, in
mostly with pictures. :-(
