Hello, All
So I decided to post my graphic editor! I think it will be interesting, huh
especially the graphics! I warn you, it was written in haste and therefore many
the functions are simply missing. I would like to listen to suggestions, and feedback in general,
is it convenient? I wrote this editor for my Mellona chart. Here I was
graphics for III-Bit, WanderLust, CuberDie and Surgical Fantasy were drawn.
The program should work great under all Windows, and certainly under
bare DOS, it contains all sorts of mouse drivers. Well it should work
per frame of the monitor, that is, the smoothness of the animation pleases the heart, at least
at least mine and Mellon's. =)
The editor understands almost all formats. There is also a converter from BMP, but I
I've turned it off now, sorry, something's wrong. Saves only in own
packaged RPK format, but in the near future I will post a version with both BMP and
saving in all formats.

It is better to emulate flickering colors with shades, even if they flicker at 50 hertz
There will be differences from reality. Therefore, ask Monique for possible frequencies and turn it on
maximum.
Sometimes the program slowed down, although there seemed to be nothing to slow it down.
As for synchronization, the card settings have nothing to do with it.
It’s better to do synchronization via DX, otherwise all the sprites on the screen are sometimes a little too small

Hello new art
new> It is better to emulate shimmering colors with shades, even if they shimmer on
new> 50 hertz there will be differences from reality.
I deliberately did not make shades of colors in order to get a real rendering
images and not for emulators. After all, there is a real Speccy, it is the standard
for this graphic. But to be honest, in the future I will make a switch between
shades and shimmers, but this is after I finish the game.

Via DX the program is not suitable for a computer on which only
naked dos. And if there is no synchronization, then this is a problem with the hardware, I’ve seen this
on cut-down video cards. Modern games work on them, but only the program
written for standard ports, synchronization disappears.
I think that these requests are not being implemented, sorry, NewArt, I’m just used to itprogram the old fashioned way, when all the graphics are in one file and run on
naked car.

Hello new art
new> Why 60 hertz and the sync is cut off?
60 hertz is close to 50, because the editor is made for the most real
video display. The editor uses glowing colors. And 60 hertz is taken
due to the fact that LSD monitors simply turn off and do not work.
I can’t turn off the synchronization, it’s turned off in the card settings!!! So, that's it

No, I know that... You can go to full-screen mode (specified), but how do you

And the most important question is how to catch synchronization and tune in to interruptions from

Hello icebear

There are memory managers that allocate this very memory, Java, non-Java memory
What will be highlighted is not the compiler or loader of the language, but the system. In Windows 95 or 98
memory allocation is overwritten with zeros in XP this is not done, that’s all
wisdom. In my program, the system requests a block of 4 meters under
the pictures, the bytes in it were chaotically packed, so it froze. This is mine of course
I don’t argue that it’s a mess here, but the language won’t affect it. Moreover, memory
requested via Pascal's 32-bit mode. And this product almost works
under everything (DOS, OS/2, etc.) I, of course, still don’t know how to do it so well that from the first
times to clean up such messes, but I’ll try to remember that I’m almost the only one who sits and
writes at a low level.

Apparently I don’t understand why they did this on the Spectrum. In my opinion o-f -
This is a way to update the screen in a certain number of clock cycles, i.e. build
code so that it fits into these 70K clock cycles. But at the PC, the lion’s share of the work is done for you

You're not saying that you need to throw out the Intal architecture and take, for example,
Power, which inserts all Intel and AMD in an order of magnitude. Xilinx makes logical

10000 hertz. The Japanese have made a whole lot of processors. The only reason why
the world is not switching to other processors, it's money!!! Price of consumer goods,
created back in 1992 is scanty. Power costs from $600. Texas Instrument
similar 32-bit processors cost $1000-something dollars. And the system
older than oak board. All that Windows gives is a whole host of modern windows,

Exactly within the same limits as C. There are a few processors,
which support standard C libraries. Ha C turns out even better

ice> Most of the excuses about drivers are the first excuses of crooked hands
Not always... There is such a glitch on PiCi with the arrival of one interruption below the 7th

Com3. It is guaranteed that one of the values will be lost. In Windows since 2000
They just blocked the use of Com3, and the hedgehog opened Com1. I did

And the meaning is very simple, before exiting the interrupt, just check for the presence of more

What is the programmer's fault here? His only fault is that he can't write
your driver to solve this problem.

the result would be the best, and not just what is needed.

I've seen this go wrong with LCD, but it's stupid to fix it. This problem is related to matriceswho understand the ratio only 3/4. 720x480 mode is selected in the editor,
any monitor will support this. And so, it turns out that you need to rewrite the set
other products, for example FAST TRAKER-2. Quarreling... By the way, I ran it on LCD
which are connected not via DVI but via standard SVGA and they honestly
stretched the image, although they broke it.

Hello, psndcj

I don’t know what to recommend... Maybe you should try expanding it to the whole
screen... XP constantly does something wrong, now we need to find out
editor Mason-AY, and only then I’ll deal with the rest of the problems!!!

Hello Robus
Tested the editor.... Killed some lack of presence....
How to scroll a window in enlarged mode? if there are some kind of buttons, then
Sorry, no worries... We really need scrollbars.
more... Is it possible to focus on multitasking? Well, not like full screen
unfold, but with a window... Otherwise, I can change the music there or to
reply to the message in the IRC, what is the alt tab every time?
In general, I got all the options at once, from the first to the last, I tested on
athlone 3800+ and sempron 2600+
Otherwise the editor is not bad... I hope for all kinds of tools
(like in BG) will be finalized....
So, what functions can and will be useful to sandal....
Screen buffer with the ability to perform logical operations between the buffer and the screen. yes
Just like in BGE, such a trick should be allowed between the file and the screen. very
It’s useful to make functions of the bge window x8 - effects, such as there is a stroke, thicker, notch,
thinner. naturally with a window. well, copy move, paste, etc... these are the most important
options, in my opinion... and... also coloring such as the entire screen or window to the specified
colors... well, in general, I think the landmark should be set to Burial.

Robus, with all due respect to you, it’s better to program like this for Windows
Don't program for it at all. I would immediately write “works only under DOS” and
there would be no requests for multitasking. And don’t blame everything on Windows, that’s the issue here
in you, because you wrote the software the way they wrote it ten years ago.

Thanks for testing... Yes, scrolling with buttons, cursor!!! =) In the file
ReadMe.txt buttons are described!!! ScrollBars are unlikely to be... Editor done
so that it is easy to work with two hands... With the mouse - drawing, and with buttons
switching between modes, colors, cursor fill method and the like...

So, it's all about multitasking!!! With such success we can say, let’s do it all
In Spec's games, we'll check for pressing Shift+1, which is analogous to TAB, and
we will enter automatic pause mode... This is a software product, not
another window under Windows, in which the first task is plausible
display of graphics, that is, one frame of Speccy in one frame of PiCi. Sorry, a little
other goals were pursued. Although, if you use Windows 98, you can pressAlt+Enter and everything will be as you dream, HR, as always, does not support something.

Strange... Everything works fine under Windows 98, why should I write,
which only works under DOS!!! I, like Mellona, use Pintelin
under Windows, without encountering any problems. Or because of the fact that connecting LSD
monitor, should I write that this only works under DOS? Or what, a game
Space Rangers 2, which blocks access to Windows when launched, also
should only work under DOS and it was written in the style of 10 years ago?
Any dispute here is not born on the basis of universality, which should
have a system, but based on the justification, why did I choose Windows, not wanting
realize that it is a product of commerce. By the way, the statement about the 10-year-old
style of writing programs, there is also an excuse. You're not saying that else
In 1993, the 32-bit Intel architecture was created, and it is urgently neededcompletely replace it with the 64-bit version. But stubbornly all the code is still in 32-bit
form. And you stubbornly load Windows products with that old 32-bit code,
as much as 14 years ago. Where is the vaunted modernity? Why are we standing still?
Oh yes, it hasn’t yet gained such super-duper commercial power, that’s when everything

It’s fortunate that at least Linux was not mutilated as much as the idea of Windows was mutilated.

Hello Robus
Rob> Strange...
That's not what you're talking about. This editor works for me everywhere I use it.
launched. By writing for DOS, I meant the type of program, of course I
I understand that your interface is always cooler, but when your own one blinks like crazy,
Moreover, it has some non-standard buttons and it is unclear what interface (which
Windows is intuitive, of course, if you write at the direction of small soft ones) - this is IMHO
overkill I understand that you are a maximalist and write everything yourself from start to finish, but this is not
convenient for users of your program. That's all :) To write this editor on
Windows would have taken you less time, tricolor could have done it too (look at
NOFLIC in US sources), and if I wrote I don’t know, with SDL or something else, it was
and portability. And so, something came out in itself. This is not a criticism, it's just me
programmer, I know how to write software and I know how outsiders evaluate it
(precisely by beautiful windows and buttons, and not by blocking access to Windows).
And the difference between Windows 98 and XP is many times greater than between the same 98 and
DOS. I repeat once again, this is not an attack or belittlement of your work, just an opinion
from the outside about the interface.

Robus you are driving :) you were asked to add a little convenience and you are arguing
about "oces of lemonade"
I have Windows 2000 on my computer and for the sake of the graphic editor I won’t set myself to 98
In general, there is no need for politics and ideology here
And if you want fame, then take into account the wishes of users or write right away"I like my editor and who doesn't like it, see pic 1"

Hello icebear
I haven't read the entire previous thread, but having downloaded the latest version, I can say that
Everything started in win2k, but the grid didn’t want to appear
pixels when you press the middle mouse button. Preferably her (key)
move it to “N”, that’s where it belongs, and to the mouse ones - something for
additional brush options. And there’s still not enough navigator window to
see the transformation in normal size, do not constantly switch the mode
increase...

Yes... I also encountered this problem... This is my fault. Subsequently
Everyone will be able to choose any key configuration for themselves. But the middle key is not
is pressed due to the fact that NT, W2000 and XP launch the DOS application without
any drivers. Pintrlin sees that there is no support for bears and automatic weapons
loads the driver directly, which is packaged into it. And I'm out of some stupidity
I stuck the driver there without holding the middle key. I'll definitely fix it.
Sch> and for mouse ones - something for additional brush capabilities. And one more thing

Yes, I kept thinking about the navigator window all the time, but I also wanted to make it in the form
lenses, but encountered a problem with the speed of mouse movement. Pulling her verya little, in an enlarged view everything flies too fast. We need to think about how to do this
do. Maybe make support with some kind of key, for example Enter???

Then by enter you can simply show the entire screen, although the navigator window to me
closer.
ps. I'm waiting for new versions.
