ZXNet echo conference «zx.fishing»

From Alexey Zhernyakov To All 5 April 2007

Results of an interactive survey of fishermen Since mid-November, the portal about active recreation in Ekaterinburg U-nat.ru held an amazing survey among frequent visitors to fishing conferences Over the course of a week, 100 people from Russia and Ukraine were interviewed on 14 Internet forums (number of responses received in brackets). Participants in our survey were: Club "Fishing" on the Ekaterinburg portal about active recreation (3 + 1 by mail) Forum "Ural Fishing" on uralfishing.ru (11) Forum "Fishing" on E1.ru (32) Community ru_rybalka in Livejournal.com (4) Community ru_fishing on Livejournal.com (11) PPO Odessa Fishermen's Club (7) TatFish.com forums (2) Russian Spinning League Forum (5) GoneFishing.ru forums (1) Old Corodon: Fishing in the Kaliningrad region (7) Forums matchfishing.ru (5) Fishing club VolgaFishing (11) We express our deep gratitude to the conference participants and administrators! The survey included 7 simple questions: 1. Preferred type of fishing 2. Age 3. Sphere of professional activity 4. Marital status 5. Gender 6. Frequency of Internet use 7. Frequency of fishing trips Now let's look at the charts of the survey results with a little comments: Gender of respondents (%) There were few girls, but it’s good that “M” was not 100%, at least somehow masculine the fishing team was diluted Marital status (%)Comments are unnecessary: most fishermen are already “formed” in family terms. Age (%) The most active categories were those of middle age (30-39). The youngest fisherman of the survey - 17 years old, the oldest - 59. "Non-mass" of the older generation understandable: the survey was conducted on the Internet, and fishermen of this age on the Internet much less. Young people are the most active, but considering that fishing is attraction of "adult" men, the most active was the middle age category. Professional activity (%) Again, taking into account the audience from the Internet, the largest percentage of those who checked in Professionally connected with information technology. Under the category "Others" - included all professions that could not be classified according to the proposed answer options (for example, science, art, study). Those surveyed actively use the Internet: "every day - 91% " several times a week - 8% " once a week - 1% And now we can talk about fishing ;-) Preferred type of fishing (%) Again, our expectations were justified, and even confirmed: spinning is the most a fashionable hobby of today's fishermen, it continues to conquer from year to year popularity all over the world. However, the most common float rod fishing or fishing from the bottom is only slightly behind in popularity. Note thatthat in many cases, we considered the first answer out of several, since in the survey conditions it was possible to choose only one type of fishing, but yet many could not name just one type of fishing that could be called preferable. Dependence of age on type of fishing (%) It is easy to notice that spinning has become the most popular among young fishermen. and then only float rod and bottom fishing. It was also interesting observe that in the age category 30-30 years, bottom fishing is so popular (after spinning), and then only a float rod. In a group "40-49" spinning is also in the lead, and other types of fishing are evenly distributed (one respondent per group). Fishing frequency It was nice to discover that many people go fishing often, and not just communicate on forums. This means that “practitioners” actively communicate between himself, exchanging experiences, and once again confirms the wisdom: experience is never superfluous doesn't happen. General portrait of a fisherman from the forums Evaluating the answer options, we compiled a portrait of the fisherman: He is a married man, aged 32, who works in the information field. technologies, uses the Internet every day, fishes with a spinning rod and almost every weekend (during the season) he can be found fishing Impressions, resume I was very pleased with the activity of many forums, as well as the administration: readyhelp in this survey, despite the “unfamiliarity” of the interviewees to the general public: met interesting people. The crowd did not work on the survey Chinese sociologists and the survey in no way pursued a commercial purpose, It was just interesting to get such beautiful diagrams to have something in common an idea of people who actively communicate on fishing forums. Perhaps we will conduct a couple more surveys in the future, but they will have more meaningful and interactive in nature (survey form), because it was only the first experience of such an event on the Internet. And thanks again to everyone who participated! U-nat.ru - Ekaterinburg portal about active recreation When publishing material, please indicate the source link
