Pike for capelin
I would like to give advice for catching pike on ice rigs when using
ordinary capelin serves.
My favorite fishing place is the Volga River. Usually, when fishermen come to a pond,
- garrisons, first of all, start catching live bait, which takes up precious
time, and it is not always possible to catch it in sufficient quantities. Live bait
(crucian carp) I have been stocking up since the fall. Having caught crucian carp, I place them in a large trough,
which I keep in the garage. The water must be from the reservoir where the live bait comes from. Feed
no need for live bait. In severe frosts, I insulate the trough with old rags, and
Almost all crucian carp remain alive. After several fishing trips, the stock of live bait
are ending.
About three years ago, when I came home from work, I noticed that in the sink
capelin is defrosting: my wife decided to fry it for dinner. Capelin reminded me of something
our bleak (just a little longer), and I decided to try it as
live bait
Before fishing, I bought capelin. Having defrosted it, I selected the 10 best ones,
medium sized fish. In the morning, having arrived on the Volga to their cherished places, he loaded
five capelin fish at once, and he himself went to the shore to catch live bait. Catching three
perch, I decided to load three more girders. When I loaded the second zherlitsa, turned around - and saw that on one of the previously installed vents there had flashed
checkbox. Having reached the girder, he selected a fishing line and made a hook. Special
The pike offered no resistance and after a few seconds was already on the ice. B
that day I caught three pikes, two of them with capelin.
Since then, I have caught about two dozen pike using capelin. I want
notice that bites were only in those places where there was at least a small
flow. One conclusion suggests itself: the current sways the capelin, giving it the appearance
live fish. I think that many fans of lure fishing will try this type
baits and after catching the first fish they will appreciate capelin as a suitable live bait.
