So, not far from that village there is a swamp - a former lake, only overgrown with turf. There are also “windows” in this swamp. And it lives in that swamp crucian carp under the turf. Moreover, it’s large. And the locals catch it with a winter fishing rod, digging a hole in the turf and darkening it with something. Such fishing is associated with extreme sports and risk, because there are mosquitoes in a swamp darkness, and given the presence of a quagmire, it looks like you might fall through. Not far (only 8 km) from Sloboda is the village of Nizhnee Selo. Not far from this village in the forest there are abandoned mines, deep probably 20-50 meters. A little man I knew and his friends found in one of mines all signs of the presence of fish. And they drowned a piece of dynamite there. In general, about 15 crucian carp surfaced, all on average from 500 g. up to 1 kg. Coloring those crucian carp are very interesting - black, “like firebrands.” In general, in our area the crucian carp is a finicky thing and “bites” only on the net.
