From Denis Jakushkin To All 20 December 1999

Hello, All! For five years now our group has been creating its creations on the Spectrum, and all these five years I only have to hear: “Spectrum is bent, Spectrum died a long time ago..." and similar Mazdaism. In reality, the Spectrum lived, the Spectrum is alive, the Spectrum will live. Over the course of five years, the Spectrum experienced 286, 386, a500-600, ups and the fall of Inlight, the success of Fantop and the lameness and fragmentation to all the 99th party. I was prompted to write this letter by a certain “lowering” Spectrum to the pissy level, namely: on the Spectrum ^^^^^^^^^^^^ there is no one to work with. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ To be specific, all the groups of the old hardening (example: Virt (60 people), Style (read only), Galaxy, Virtual Brothers, X-Trade, e.t.c.), organizers They gave up on projects, coders got lazy, artists became gamers. I'm afraid that our group may suffer the same fate. :-( There are simply not enough coding talent to implement game projects. hands, artists, musicians. When the project "Heroes of Might and Magic" was started (without my participation) there were 2 coders and an artist. When I joined the project and outlined what would still have to be done check it out, it turned out - 8 code modules + map editor. To date, of all the “old entertainers” in the project There are two left - me and Beavis. we need to draw these eight modules +code for 2 years (if you think in real terms). Therefore, if someone wants to do something for the Spectrum (we need coders first of all, artists, musicians, screenwriter...) look at the addresses at the end of the letter. If we don't find at least two more coders and 1-2 artists, then the HM&M project will have to be curtailed. :( I may well start demo-making or re-covering “Country dragons", but this is almost certainly a weak project... Or miss in an alcoholic echo, as STS does (author once unfinished "Duke", where there is almost nothing on the walls is spent"). In short, ownerless coders, artists and musicians - join us! Our contact addresses: ZX-Net 500:812/08.48, Denis Jakushkin (Research) 500:812/08.18, Vladimir Galtscev (STS, STS BBS) Internet: Denis_Jakushkin.sp0848@zxnet.spb.ru - it's me (organizer) Vladimir_Galtscev.sp0818@zxnet.spb.ru - this is STS (ex main coder) Renat_Gabdrahmanow.sp1819@zxnet.spb.ru - Beavis (main gfx'er) ^^^^^^^ Beavis' Boss has closed, so I have to wash it and STSy. With all best wishes, Denis Jakushkin.
