Hello TomCaT We had a mini-champion on Exolon at Machinista 2003. I'm on the champ then I was late, people participated, it seems that even everyone at the first level was screwed up, in my opinion exclamation "What are you? Disgraces!" They objected: “try it yourself,” I immediately tried it, True, in a home environment, and not in champ conditions, I immediately reached the 2nd level and screwed up on it. :) By the way, the topic about records and other successes in completing games comes up :) WBR, diver aka Golubtsov Alexey

Hello, All So, I think the game is not worth posting or presenting. For me it's - the first game with which I started getting acquainted with Speccy. Year 91 (92), black and white "sapphire", homemade Kempston from five durable technical buttons on 1 panel (and there are wires behind) and a COMPLETE absence of a speaker. The ZX "Leningrad" itself is reclining on carpet and doesn’t even dream of some kind of (even homemade) building... how I now remember that evening when we tore the joystick out of each other’s hands and for a long time couldn't sleep... Since then ZX has been living with me... This is as true as to say that I live with him. But let's return to Exolon. In my memory, b. part of the time we chopped one at a time life on the chela in turn (there was immortality) with the goal of getting further away. Pretty soon we found out that the game has 5 levels of 25 screens (zones). But here's the problem - when later I met a version with 9 lives (like a cat :) ), The classic “immortality syndrome” kicked in and I lost them all by about 10 screen. For about 10 years I have been interested in the question: could anyone honestly win the game (i.e. go through 5 levels in a row with the author's limit of 9 lives. Because on rzxarhive version with infinite). And even if I couldn’t, who has any records for number of screens completed (let's agree to indicate exactly, say: "I passed 5 screens, and the game over was 6". As proof, now you can alwayswrite down rzx and post, but this is not necessary. Although contenders for the title "The Conqueror of EXOLON", we would of course ask to do that. I don't remember exactly. But, as they say, this is a fixable matter. I remember getting stuck somewhere on the third level :) But the screen - nope, I need to play it now. In general, the competition is open, the rules are fair game, which can be confirmed full rzx (which ends when entering the name in the Hall of Fame, not earlier!). I wish you good luck ;) -- Can you help Robin in his quest for the Silver Arrow? WBR, TomCaT aka Kostya

Hello TomCaT Tom> In general, the competition is open, the rules are fair game, which can be confirmed Tom> full rzx (which ends with entering the name in the Hall of Fame, not Tom> earlier!). I wish you good luck ;) Yes, a world game! But I'm somehow confused... Five levels is, what, five in a row Completely completed the game x times in a circle??? I just don’t understand that there were five of them all levels... I know that in 1993 or 1992 I lived with my grandmother in Pervomaisk, which is near Nikolaev, and there were slot machines with Speccy. I walked along circle the game once, that is, in a cycle I got to the first screen from which I started. I don’t remember how many lives were given there, but I remember that I didn’t get any more tokens sold how angry I was then. It's always like this... Afterwards, deciding to remember my former youth, I often played in EXOLON, with Fine Soft and Hampton. But the idea was to complete the game without losing a single thing life. But I think that now I could go through it all with five lives. Except in total, it seems, after going around the circle the rooms become more complicated, it seems like balls and the rest of the evil flies out not with a delay, but immediately. That's why I clarified about five levels, maybe these are levels!!! Maybe arrange a competition on Earth Shaker, I did the same thing, yes My own levels, however, are different - my levels were passed very rarely.Yes, and what is rzx? -- By Rob F. / Entire Group ... Hello Robus Rob> Yes, a world game! But I'm somehow confused... Five levels are, what, five Rob> the game has been completely completed in a row for the last 3 times in a row ??? I just don’t understand what they are Rob> there were five for all levels... No. Exolon has 125 DIFFERENT screen zones. They are divided into five levels (stages, parts, whatever you want. There is a noticeable differentiation in complexity and sequential access to levels, so I still suggest original name) with 25 screens each. At the end of the level there is a teleport, a good chance for a bonus (in points) and the protective suit is lost. As for speeding up the departure of the balls - maybe. But for the competition it’s not important HOW evaluate. If you consider yourself a cool conqueror of the planet Exolon, send give us your rzx file, and we’ll laugh together :) (still, I’d like to hope that You’re not bragging about the passage with 5 lives. But this is easy to prove, or refute!) RZX - download the SPIN emulsion and read it in its help. Playing on SPIN allows Drop a video image file (with text) of ALL actions on the Speccy screen onto disk. IMHO the ideal option for salted food - take it and just stupidly repeat it! But he also very suitable as a means of proving the winner's abilities. There is a good site [http://www.rzxarhive.co.uk] that can tella lot of new information about what RZX is and how to properly pass some "impossible" games :) Regarding Earth Shaker - please, no offtopic. Create a separate theme for Earth Shaker, because There aren't enough posts here anyway. I thought people would be interested... I’ll probably sit down and record the first Exolon rzx, and then post it here. Yes, I almost forgot. If you report your achievements in this thread, and then If you manage to improve them, then you shouldn’t litter the forum and create new posts. Use the useful "Edit" button in the lower right corner of your posts! -- Can you help Robin in his quest for the Silver Arrow? WBR, TomCaT aka Kostya

But nevertheless, the game is undoubtedly interesting, and nothing prevents such a competition from being held) div> div> by the way, a topic about records and other successes in completing games is coming up Yes, you can organize a competition for the best score record with FAIR play at 9 lives (confirmed by rzx). Why is this SPIN constantly hanging... I really can’t get through the first 30 rooms, it constantly freezes, unless, of course, you start writing !!! It’s immediately obvious that this SPIN is written in something like SI... =) Maybe there is What other emulsion that supports RZX? Maybe it went better there combination of IFs and ZENs? You need to go look on the net for a description of the RZX format, and humanly insert it into your emulsion and record the passage of the game... -- By Rob F. / Entire Group ... Hello Robus Robus, you don’t have to mess around with rzx, but just capture the video in emuzwin and package, for example, techsmith codec. although the size is probably large there will be a difference :)))

From Golubtsov Alexey To All 11 October 2005

Hello Robus Rob> I've already tried to make a video... The files are gigantic! What is this Rob> techsmith? techsmith is one of dozens of loseless codecs: http://download2.techsmith.com/tscc/TSCC.exe (170Kb) you install it and when recording a video you select it to be packed immediately into techsmith. By the way, if we are talking only about the image, then rob immediately without sound. I I tried to pack kkolor into TSCC, only video without sound (2 minutes 41 seconds, 320x256 - with border, 50fps) takes up 2.3Mb, and is also packed with RAR to 1.5Mb. It will be interesting to try this packaging at games. By the way, in the codec settings you can try reducing FPS.

Hello, CityAceE And who will benefit from this? You won't achieve anything by deceiving everyone :) -- When will I die?!

From Golubtsov Alexey To All 12 October 2005

Hello, CityAceE Cit> This won't prove anything I'm saying, for starters. and only against the built-in cheat and infinite lives / invisibility. if someone passes completely, or claims a record in the region >100 screen, then video/rzx recordings will be needed. and even then only for those who doesn't believe. Personally, I’ll believe so, although look at the workshop/high-speed I won’t refuse the passage either.

From Golubtsov Alexey To All 12 October 2005

Hello TomCaT I have no doubt that someone has completed the game completely. even seemingly from Someone passed ours. I don't see anything impossible in this. yesterday again I tried to play. made 3 attempts: 1. screwed up on the 31st screen 2. shamefully wasted all the lives on the first level 3. screwed up on the 33rd screen By the way, it just occurred to me that a screenshot of gameover, because it shows that the player has his last life, screen number, and inscription game over. Of course, if you go through with a regular or original cheat, then There will be no gameover.

From TomCaT To All 12 October 2005

Hello diver Yes, that's almost true. One BUT - theoretically a cheat is possible, which, after playing "funeral" for your astronaut will allow you to continue the game. I see no reason to play spoil the data about the last screen reached while the gameover is hanging on the screen! Here is a short video “from gameover (or last life) to STARTING A NEW GAME FROM SCREEN 0!" - more suitable. It almost eliminates the possibility of cheating. But, although and is proof, does not allow others to learn from your successes and mistakes. So let's come to an agreement. The video for the prize INCLUDES THE ABOVE FRAGMENT. Otherwise, what you want include in rzx - entirely your business. Maybe you'll create a hoax program which is very reminiscent of the “death of screen 125 at the elevator” (somehow I can’t believe this opportunity, this is unfair on the part of evil fate :v2_lol: ?

Hello TomCaT Vla> In fact, the game has 100 different screens (4 levels of 25 each), and Vla> the last level (25 screens) is assembled from various screens already Vla> used in the game. From TomCaT To All 15 November 2005

Hello TomCaT Finally my first playthrough. 171 screens. The beginning was disgusting, but for the first time I overcame the 99th screen mark. And In general, with a smaller number of lives it’s somehow easier to play. ;) And on the second level, somewhere on the 35th screen, I forgot  to use the cabin. And passed through mines and pistons with a single machine gun. In addition to this, I propose one more competition - for the title of "Brave Conqueror Exolon", who pathologically despises the protective suit.
