Hello Titus

Tit> style is :v2_thumb;
You; wrong, the fact that they converted, that’s for sure, I looked at how it looks on
Amiga, Komodore 64 and Amstrad,
It looks like the Amiga had the original, but everything else had only eight-bit copies.
By the way, the graphics for eight bits were converted disgustingly, they didn’t even draw on them,
but simply translated it into a bitmap as it happened, while the fault of the details is simply
lost from pictures and sprites.

Thanks ng dead, I was just about to post the same pictures :-))
At least they show what was the original, and why the game was converted,
I hope dear Titus will see that the people who made the version for Speck are simply
they threw into one bit what was most vivid in the Amiga picture, and on
the rest was simply hammered out, and nothing was even painted on. Pure trash :(

No hack work! Regular Dinamic graphics, like they did on the Spectrum.
It’s better to compare not even the 1st part but the 2nd, then everything will become clear: v2_wink2:

Hello, moroz1999
The game was released on all platforms in the same year (89). I highly doubt it
that different artists were hired for 4(!) platforms. There is a suspicion that they did
a set of graphics for the Amiga (the most advanced in terms of graphics), and then
converted. And if there were improvements, then I don’t see them, to be honest. At least
At the very least, it could have been done better on spec (if we were to do it).

Dear * Felix *, what do you mean by direct graphics conversion? On
My opinion is that the Spectrum screenshot is honestly converted, i.e. not
Only the clouds + the hero’s face on the status bar look manually processed.
the rest of the interface and sprites are either hand-drawn or rendered. really
It’s not clear that a resized picture with small details can’t just be converted into colors

Hello, moroz1999
moroz1999, well, it’s not a fact that they are also converted into pure ones. I said -
"look". to know for sure, you need to have the entire sprite of the Amiga clouds, because on
screenshots from different platforms are not an identical fragment, but only similar.
