From Vyacheslav Mednonogov → To Arseniy Astapenko 18 February 1999
Get Msg, Arseniy!
10 Feb 99 10:25, Arseniy Astapenko reported to Igor Galuza about {Fenzin}:
AA> I don’t understand how Copper Feet manages without testers?
AA> Or are there any?
Father-in-law himself (to the point of disgust for the game)... But a small percentage of glitches remain, and
then the first buyers become testers :))
Here's how it happens:
===== (from ZXF#7)
By the way, about the versions:
1.00 - test beta version. Just in case
case I made it impassable (otherwise
again the hackers would break all their glitches
they would blame it on me :))). Amazing-
but that only six of them were exchanged
(although the instructions clearly state the need
cost of exchange). Two reached 12
level - and broke off :((
1.01 - release version, completely
passable (if you know how to play ;)
Everything that was reported by users has been corrected.
ateliers.
1.01A - a) fixed glitch with ban
shipments to "B:" (just for a long time no one
noticed); b) Talabrook was accidentally on-
called Warlock (fixed).
1.01B - a) sometimes it was possible to build
fences where this is not allowed (fixed);
b) G-Soft found a glitch that makes it easier to develop
spell bot (fixed).
=====
The test version was released in a small edition (30 copies,
You can only play for people up to level 12),
every user received my phone with a requestcall at any time if there are glitches.. Found only
one glitch - black fields (hiding the map) after
the downloads turned white..
It is curious that not all 30 copies were exchanged back,
and about 25.. The last one was a man with a child from
Kronstadt, who exchanged the test version
in just six months (!)
The rest of the glitches appeared within a month.
It’s clear that there aren’t that many glitches after me,
and there are no fatal ones at all.. :))
Then there was another 1.01C just for Minsk/Krasnodar
(for "Bytov"/"Krasnodarov"), and will soon go into action
1.01N - with the protection removed and the banner animation corrected..
Warm greetings, Slava!
ps by the way, Minsk is the only city that paid for a couple of dozen ChV2.. How
I didn’t kick back, Zhenya Bystrov forcibly persuaded me to accept the money so that it wouldn’t
eaten by inflation ;))
