Hello, All
There is such a game for PC “Elastomania” (www.elastomania.com).
Is it possible to make a ZX version?
The game is as follows:
in the 2-dimensional space of the level there are polygons of the “ground” of arbitrary
shapes and several objects (apples, flower, circular saws). Player controls
motorcycle, consisting of several parts that behave like solid bodies,
having mass, connected by springs. Motorcycle wheels and sides
The polygons of the "earth" have infinite friction. Collisions with ground and objects
are checked only for the wheels and head of the motorcyclist (head touching the ground -
death). The goal of the game is to collect all the apples and at the end - a flower. Motorcycle
is always in the center, the screen scrolls along x and y.
In the ZX version, for simplicity, you can make a motorcycle with a motorcyclist with one solid
body and draw it not vectorially, but store several of its sprites under different
corners. You don't have to draw the wheel springs at all. The wheels themselves are separate
several sprites at different angles or just 2 circles.

Hello, Tailnemer
> Is it possible to make a ZX version?
There was such an idea, inspired by the original, about 5 years ago.
It’s quite possible to do it; the terrain, of course, needs to be made into tiles.
But even if you do something to improve the graphics, PC simply doesn’t have it
(and let everyone say that this is not the most important thing), well, the gameplay needs to be developed,
there is huge potential for bells and whistles there.
Of similar games, I also advise you to pay attention to Gish, although on the Spectrum
it will be more difficult to implement.

Hello new art
How is it not?
How about downloading textures from support sites? There is a stunning VGA design, with
natural trees, "ground" and background.
But it won't be easy to bear.

Hello TomCaT
Unfortunately, I couldn’t launch gish... it’s kind of a big deal
registration procedure.. but among the lastomania clones there is also a drop-dead one
motorama...
and if it’s really stupid, then you can do it like it’s done on mobile phones -
vector(byaka)...

Hello TomCaT
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xmoto =)
Physics in ElMa is much simpler than in Gish, and there are only a dozen bodies. Kollisi
quite simple. So in theory it’s probably possible to port it.
