Hello new art All this is interesting, and if it were done, I would buy it with pleasure. Them Moreover, I once wanted to do CV with water vessels (it is clear that all this dreams, not my profile). new> Considering that the ChV1 source codes are available, and there are also several new> map editors, I think with desire and modest effort it can be done new> a new toy with beautiful graphics. In general, it’s strange to hear such reasoning from a person who is into game making. has more relevance than me. In addition to graphics, there are a number of other components components of the game: redesigned engine (water and air were not considered in CV1 like space), screensavers (possibly videos), music, interesting levels (this is a creative process, perhaps more difficult than drawing sprites). What's up levels, so for me this is the most difficult thing you will have to face when writing games - there was a game XOR, I have never seen a better strategy, and then They made two remixes, nothing to look at. new> Are strategies not listed on Spectrum today? Work on the Spectrum has not been rolling at all lately. And games are always are quoted, and even more so good games!

Hello new art There is no one to make such a game today. And why, by the way, III, if II was not released?

From Vyacheslav Kalinin To All 16 January 2007

Hello, All I couldn’t sleep yesterday, along with floppy disks from Reserach/Volga Soft I decided to do it again dig into your 2000 :). On one of the disks I found an almost complete set of sprites for a game like Black Raven. The graphics were made under the impression of War Craft 2, unlike ChV1 there there are ships and flying creatures (like dragons). Considering that the source code for ChV1 is available, and there are also several map editors, I think, with desire and modest effort, you can make a new toy with a beautiful graphics. For each side I counted approximately 18 types of warriors/equipment and 20 types of buildings. Who's ready to take on? This is what the game could look like: File: sshot019.png http://zx.pk.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=4445

Hello spensor spe> In general, it’s strange to hear such reasoning from a person who k spe> has more to do with game making than I do. In addition to graphics, there is also spe> a number of components that make up the game: a redesigned engine (in CV1 spe> water and air were not considered as space), splash screens spe> (possibly videos), music, interesting levels (this is creative spe> process, perhaps more complicated than drawing sprites). Making videos nowadays is a piece of cake, convert them and slightly modify them 30 It’s also not difficult to create pictures (that’s how the pictures for ChV2 were made), the music is even less problem (I have 10 tracks that were written for CV2). Levels and what plot convoy, but of course you will need 1-2 more people. But still, making a game with an almost finished engine and basic graphics is much more easier than doing everything from scratch. If I had come across this graphic in 2001-2002, I would have I took up the game without hesitation. Because Spectrum has traditionally had a problem in graphics (artists).

Hello new art new> and that’s not a fact. Why bother your soul then? :o

From Vyacheslav Kalinin To All 16 January 2007

Hello, rasmer ras> And now what’s stopping you from doing this? Yes, I somehow moved away from coding. Personally, it would be easier for me to write my own code from scratch, but this is already too big work. Now I would only sign up for this on a commercial basis, and even then not fact.

Hello Vitamin Vit> The key word is almost. Even simple common sense says that Vit> implement graphics (even if limiting it to the engine) much Vit> is easier than adding an engine to meet the new requirements Vit> (water+air). Maybe start with this? And the graphics in general are almost in Vit> in the form of a skin. I wanted it, I got a warcraft clone, I replaced it Vit> the graphics are a Starcraft clone. In this case, remove the collision check for a certain type of units buildings and forest, much easier than if the opposite problem were posed. B I tinkered with Raven's source code back in 2001, and the impression remains positive, that is, what I wanted from there, I was still very weak coder. Of course, you can do it your way, by the way, when a couple of editors and missions came out to them, I was extremely surprised that they did not replace the graphics.

Hello new art new> having an almost ready engine The key word is almost. Even simple common sense says that implement graphics (even if limited to the engine) is much simpler than add to the engine in accordance with the new requirements (water + air). Maybe start with this? And the graphics are almost in the form of a skin. Wanted- I received a Warcraft clone, replaced the graphics - it turned out to be a Starcraft clone.
