Hello, CHRV CHR> Gee-gee Western Digital with IDE Nemo (any option) and ATM Turbo CHR> is guaranteed not to work. Tested by me, Alka and a bunch of other people. CHR> :v2_rolley Two stupid questions: 1) who is Alka? :v2_wink2; 2); Do you know about the joke with jumpers on the WDC in the absence of a slave device?

Hello, All So, there is a 425 MB HDD WDC Caviar. Super size for Spec. :) I change it to another HDD of approximately the same capacity (or more). In general, the newer there will be a drive, the better. Although I understand that of course no one replaces it with 10 GB. The point of the exchange: there is a USB->IDE box, I wanted to stuff it inside it, but The box turned out to be incompatible with it for some reason. Hard on its own Absolutely working, box too. Most likely the box controller can't use very old modes, but the disk does not understand newer ones. In general I You need a hard drive that will work with the box. The meaning of the exchange for the second party: let’s say you also have a disk that for some reason it turned out to be incompatible with your system. But he’s a worker himself and without any troubles.

Hello, Error404 Err> What works? Is there some kind of list? Or (which is better) some method Err> - like “everyone like this works, everyone like that doesn’t.” Here in the section dedicated to the controller there is a table that I checked myself: http://www.nedopc.com/NEMOIDE/zaknemoide.php

Hello icebear ice> Two stupid questions: ice> ice> 1) who is Alka? :v2_wink2; ice>; 2) about the joke with jumpers on the WDC in the absence of a slave device ice> course? ALCO = Alone Coder Yes, you know, I spent almost a day experimenting with WD. What is his trick yet? figured it out. I want to make it for Penatgon 2.2 on a programmable matrix IDE controller and play with a sequence of signals (i.e. delays).

Hello, CHRV CHR> Here in the section dedicated to the controller there is a table that I checked CHR> itself: CHR> http://www.nedopc.com/NEMOIDE/zaknemoide.php Is there a sign that describes models that do not work? By the way, have similar studies been conducted on CompactFlash? Yes any statistics on modern CF? Otherwise I bought CF c yesterday adapter to IDE. I'm just now trying to assemble the controller myself (more precisely, for a long time assembled - according to the scheme with 8255 and an inverter). For some reason my software for this The controller doesn’t want to work in any way yet, I was killed by double-checking errors I can’t find it yet... Maybe, of course, the error is in the DNA, or maybe the screw is muddy (I I use an IBM laptop on 250M - it’s working, I checked it on a PC). Here's how I don’t know if I can rule out the screw as a suspect. And there are no others at hand (so that collect statistics).

Hello, CHRV CHR> The topic has already been raised many times, so I will not repeat it. CHR> There is no desire to argue with those who have not tried either - this CHR> useless! Roma, don't panic. You don't have to repeat anything to anyone. And no one tries throw a stone at your professionalism. Hello, CHRV CHR> spent almost a day experimenting with WD. What is its specialty is not yet CHR> figured it out. in ancient times, WD tried to implement its version of the ATA standard, to be precise what and how I can’t, but the WD screws had a slightly different command system, due to which some PCs did not understand. This was fixed by updating the BIOS. Who wants to figure it out - dig in this direction.
