Who is the best musician on SPECY?

ZXNet echo conference «music.zx»

From Alekseenko Alexey To All 4 December 2005

Hello, All I suggest you vote for the best musician on the Spectrum! Voting rules: 1. The list contains at least 3 musicians and no more than 20. 2. It is allowed to change positions and your choice after voting, by editing of your message. (that is, someone posted their list. You went into the archive, listened to the music and you liked it, you can change your mind) 3. Poles, Czechs, Indians are also taken into account. 4. One message per person (to make it easier to calculate the result and not clog topic) 5. Try to post a list rather than discuss personalities. Based on the results, I will compile a single list of the best musicians and make a playlist of them for archive of S. Bulba. My list: 1. FUXSOFT 2. DAVOS 3. MAST 4. ANDREW SENDETSKI

From Gibson To All 14 December 2005

Hello, Darkman007 a few words from myself: Jaan - was disappointed in him when I found out that all he wrote were remixes... but technology is one of the best and the first (before him only wakson, ksa, imp, horseradish!) evolver (VMP) heard 3 things (Assorty (1), Vibrations Main Theme, Tn2 - very delicious and revolutionary, Deejooz even wrote a remix for Tn2) imp (best!) Alex Filimonoff (KDF) - simply blows away!!! Sendetsky - delicious... IronMan - I only like the pop music that was in the Format... Siril - IMHO, is fundamentally different from all muzakers in his style, but since... him difficult to copy (style) is unique... MMCM - I hate the style that this muzaker “preaches”... I don’t want to say that he is mediocre, Mouzon from Rizc is perhaps one of the best on the spec, but the fact that all beginners copy this style and manner just infuriate me!!! Yes and he copies himself sometimes... Not only that, I myself have unconsciously several times I wrote in the same manner... but that’s my problem 8) Sergey, no offense! There's also MMA I inflated it properly and all that... But I recognize the talent... Davos - created his own sound, by which it is easy to recognize him, I respect him! Nik-0 - great respect for Distortion of Myself!!! DeeJooZ - pop, written in 1999 - rules... Prejudice - rich Blues Jazz! Mic - cool! the harmonies are very interesting in s4b, progress was lucky with the muzaker... 8))) KSA - Father in a word...Mast - very correct, sweet, harmonious, technical music!!! yours there is sound, but no breakthrough... S-Jeff - Diman, I told you, your Mouzons - this cocktail = Djooz+Niko+FatalSnipe+...etc and also your education... stylish, very technical, but not your own sound formed, although maybe I'm wrong... @Fer - sugary pop, but it sounds soft, pleasant, it has its own sound! Fatal Snipe is our dude! Ronya is resting! This is where techno sounds beautiful, with powerful drams and glissand envelope! Keep it up! I really respect you! Key-Jee - mostly I don’t like it, but I don’t remember the name (in a toy about roosters it seems) very strong music, he doesn’t look like himself, otherwise I have this melancholy that is in Basically I don’t like to eat... In short, I have this opinion - Key Jee wants to write kkul - he will write it! Well and Baze, X agon - very fresh, different from our music...

From Roman Lashkov To All 14 December 2005

Hello Gibson I'm a bit of a muzaker myself, and my tastes are somewhat unusual. But no matter I will highlight the flagships less. 8) IRONMAN MMCM SERGANT JAAN SIRIL C-JEFF NIK-O DJ DENSON FATAL SNIPE VOXON CJ ECHO And there are a few more tracks, I just don’t remember from whom, which I really like like it. From Denis Jakushkin To All 22 December 2005

Hello new art the best muzakers on the spec are Rob Hubbard (just the dad and grandfather of chip music in one person) and David Whittaker, and the author of the music for Agent X - Timothy Fallin (awesome jazz musician!). From domestic ones - Mic, MMCM (technique, style). Yes, I almost forgot IMP and Andrey Sendetsky - melodica, and melodica + effects.

Hello, key-jee the best: nqe, c-jeff, key-jee and miguel. from old juz and ronya.

From Vyacheslav Kalinin To All 23 December 2005

Hello, research res> the best muzakers on spec are Rob Hubbard (just dad and grandfather res> chip music rolled into one) and David Whittaker Rob Hubbard David Whittaker In my opinion, they’re not Spekov’s muzakers, because they wrote for almost all platforms, and Rarely has there been anything outstanding on AY in comparison. That’s why I don’t read them, although of course I listen with pleasure.

From Golubtsov Alexey To All 23 December 2005

Hello new art Newart, aren't you confusing anything? A musician on Speccy is a musician who wrote for Spectrum, but whether he wrote for something else is another matter. The topic is about the one who wrote/writes music for the Spectrum better, isn’t it? David Whittaker is a great musician. Dizzy 2, Savage 2, Captain Blood, etc. - awesome beeper music, he did worse on AY, of course.

From Denis Jakushkin To All 23 December 2005

Hello Mast They are not Spectrum musicians, but simply Musicians. Fuxoft was also from AY then exclude musicians :) As far as I know, Hubbard did everything on a synthesizer, then cut it down and aigrik, because there were no editors for aigrik (just like for beeper, I don’t know about the seed). And all the hit music is his (Commando, Thunder Cats, GMX, ...) Whitetaker - IMHO some of his best games are Platoon and Rambo Fuxoft used agro in all holes :) Just like the musicians at ASC Sound Maste

From Sergey Kaminsky To All 23 December 2005

Hello diver Hi Diver! - your point of view is interesting. IMHO David Whittaker composed Great themes for games, although the samples and arrangement suffered. Although then not was PT3 :)

From Andrey "Lavender" Litvinov To All 24 December 2005

Hello, research There is hardly a cooler Westerner than Alistair Brimble. Dizzy5, Dizzy6, Slightly Magic - unforgettable themes. And on PC/Amiga/consoles it’s no less cool. Lion King, Worms, Super Frog... "War never been so much fun" - soundtrack from Cannon Fodder - is worth it.
