Hello, All
It is known that the subject has a tendency to freeze on systems
Windows-NT. And for these reasons, while one froze, it was launched
second (different version). Then the most interesting thing happened:
the first one woke up and began to play further. I don’t even know how
happened, but he started playing almost second by second
with the first, the same melody. This incredible event, and also
the result of listening to the result of mixing the sound of two players led to
interesting thought:
Here is a player, it has an ABC mixer at the input
ABC, and the output is R and L. Everything works great. And now
Let's imagine that there is another ABC mixer, the RL output of which is mixed with
the first ABC mixer (its output). And the entrance
fed through some clever and adjustable (one
slider or knob) a transducer that delays
each (A, B and C) channel passing through it on
the time set by this regulator,
which can be either negative or positive,
up to 1 second. With different mixer settings, for example,
on one ACB, and on the other BAC, by operating the regulator you can
get sound that is qualitatively superior to the banal 3-channel
player. It would be great to have such a thing.
The only way to evaluate what is happening now is by running two different AYEmuls (from
different directories) and launching the same melody in them.Adjust the phase by briefly pressing the "pause" button.

Does it really hang? In a couple of years I haven’t had a problem. (WinXP)
Although I can’t manage more than a few hours :)

So what? Typical "disappearing glitch". Besides, you probably have
The play list is small and you generally don’t work with it much. If there is no playlist
work, then it doesn’t hang for me either. Here is the old one, 2.3 (without threads) - that one in general
never hangs anywhere, only if instead of music there is no nonsense
palm off.

No. Nothing will work like that. You need an "echo" with mixing channels. Then
another nasty effect typical of Spectrum music disappears - when
mumbles something exclusively in one ear. Looks like it's normal
stereo, but a delay is needed.

Hello fk0
You invented a completely ordinary bicycle that has existed for many decades,
long before the appearance of Speccy. It's called Delay, the usual "echo" effect.
It's just that in your case, the delay period matters little. Built on this
a lot of other effects: flanger, chorus, phaser... If you have something like
"SB Live", you can simply activate the effect you need and play with
settings.

Well, I work with it a lot and with large playlists - no glitches. In mind
that only you have been complaining all these years, I can only complain about your
crookedness write everything off.
PS For such subjects in real life I would punch you in the face named after K. Frolov.

In general, the easiest way is to turn down the stereo panorama and plug in the reverb, just not too much
unscrew it. And it becomes much more pleasant to listen to. Or just reverb.

So what exactly? Besides SBLive?

I'm afraid this is the cheapest way. It’s only cheaper to record in Wav and then in
Wavelab/forge/audition, and then spoil it to your liking. :)
