Wind up the interstage transformer...
ZXNet echo conference «hardware.zx»
From Felix Knyazev → To All 21 December 2000
Greetings, All!
Who here was interested in converting a monitor into a TV “without any hemorrhoids”? ;) Here it is:

Hello Felix.
FK> Uh-huh. I think so too. I'll try to do this again: one TMS
FK> there are TWO
FK> output (secondary) windings.
The primary may not pull current.
FK> Heh. :) There wasn't enough brightness - is the pipe dead? By the way, you
FK> block
FK> color, radio channel, etc., all in the monitor body
FK> posted?!
FK> Which chroma block did you use? Standard video amplifiers
FK> left or
FK> used from a newly installed BC?
In the case itself, only the standby mode unit fit, and everything elsein a separate box, which is located from the bottom to the body on four racks
attached. In the box MTs 51, MCH 501, SKV 418, SMRK, sound and scarf for
MCH 501 which detects the presence of a video signal. Yes, and a couple more
backplane where all this is inserted. I left the video amplifiers
standard ones with MC 51, they are powered from a separate rectifier
(I wound an additional winding on the TDKS). But the brightness was not enough, not because
pipes, but, as I understand it, because of the different spectrum of video and RGB signals.
Because the image is dark, and the channel number or scale is there
volume (generated by MCH 501) is normal.
