Hello, CHRV
CHR> Please write whatever you want, just interested in opinions
CHR> hear :).
This is a question of whether you decided to recycle it or how. My opinion is this -
remove all unnecessary things and make a slot system (like on a PC). Standard
The kit comes with the usual spec with extended video, but just shove whatever you want into the slots
at will. HDD controller and PC keyboards and mice are better built-in. And so if
this applies to an old car - it’s a well-assembled Spectrum monster :) by
very super at that time: v2_finge:

Hello fan
Just a few little things:
- two-story memory
- somewhat strange power connector
- capacitors and resistors would like to be SMD
- lack of a mask on the board in my copy (as I understand it, this is already a thing of the past)
- lack of expansion slots.

Hello Southern Bear
Sou> Just a few little things:

This is of course due to the fact that the design is from 1995. now if you partition it, then all the memory is in
two small ones will fit.
Sou> - somewhat strange power connector
From there, by the way, the connector is the usual ONC-VG 16-7, in all reel-to-reel tape recorders
used before :).
Sou> - capacitors and resistors would like smd
And this depends on the assembler - it’s just more convenient for me to solder wired ones. But at
militar users are smd, the contact pads are designed for both
other.
Sou> - absence of a mask on the board in my copy (as I understand it already
Sou> in the past)
Yes, that’s absolutely true, only the first batch didn’t have a mask - it’s too expensive
it was.
Sou> - lack of expansion slots.
Sou> Otherwise, a wonderful machine.
I agree that there are not enough slots (or rather one slot) to install the GS. All
the rest is on board!
Thank you, here are some sensible reviews from a real user! Immediately visible
the person used and uses the machine...
By the way, I’ll add one more or even two drawbacks - Kempston is not supported
joystick and mouse included!
And it’s also very interesting to hear opinions from those who don’t think this car is a cloneSpectrum, and another computer (although this is strange to hear, since it is supported
even such a feature as reading an attribute via FF, which is available on the native spec, but
almost any clone does not).

As I understand it, you probably wanted to get into the ZX PALM branch...
Manufacturing a native keyboard (in a serial version) will now cost
the cost is probably half the cost of Turbo2+, and in a single unit, three times more expensive

In general, I highly recommend the laptop + Anreal, and with PC compatibility and everything is there and

Hello, SAM style
Well, the green coating seems to have been introduced, but I would like it to be like this:
1) holes for PC-AT standard
2) the power connector is not DIN, but AT directly on the board
3) memory on 30-pin SIMM instead of garden 41256
4) integrated PAL coder
from the optional but nice in my opinion:
5) instead of a two-story garden of discrete microcircuits, it would be nice to have a simple PLD
hang;
6) it would be nice to add a bunch of diagnostic LEDs like RAM OK, ROM OK,
CPU OK, etc.
7) add one or two connectors according to the Hemo-Scorpio standard for Turbo Sound and
Turbo Video
8) if possible, cut down the size to make it a little smaller
9) add the ability to raise the turbo from 7 (2x) to 14 (4x) (this is if anyone has
the processor and memory are fast) by replacing some kind of quartz or something like that
In principle, everything seems to be the same. The product is already very good, improvements are needed not because
defects, but due to the fact that time does not stand still

And no one suggests making the PC a reference point. Simply the only cheap and

Hello ASDT
Although I am not a user of this computer, I will still speak out,
what I would like to see if I were buying it.
To put it briefly - Sprinter 2000. This is the option that makes sense
strives, the only thing is that it’s time to move away from AT, this standard has already gone into
non-existence, ATX is the de facto standard. Accordingly, keyboard, mouse, parallel
and serial ports, sound, video, etc. should be output in the form of the corresponding
connectors. The only thing that still needs to be added is ScanDoubler to connect
any VGA-compatible monitor. Yes, and in my opinion ADC can be removed, there’s no point in it
still no. Or am I wrong? Does anyone use it? The most correct sound -
this is DMA-Sound, although it is not at all difficult to implement it on PLM, which in principle
It was essentially done in a sprinter, only in its own way. It is possible to provide
processor card, set Z80 - 7Mhz as the base option, and
separately, for those who need it - 28Mhz, etc. Memory is naturally Simm 72-pin.
Naturally, the presence of a Nemo-Scorpion expansion slot is mandatory. And very much not
It would be bad to implement ISA16. Still, there were a lot of such cards, and sounds
and video cards and different controllers and modems and network cards, etc.
Are you daydreaming again? :v2_jawdr; :v2_devil:;

Hello ASDT
CHRV, I read the posts here, and the thought “about slots” and “what would
less" ;) - maybe it’s worth applying the ideology of industrial computers? When
The motherboard is passive with a bunch of slots (let’s say for the ATX form factor), and
the computer itself is inserted into the slot (if you want expandability), or it is not plugged in
(if you want it smaller). You can’t do it exactly like that, you can imagine something like this:
whatever.
But, back to the topic...
1) replace the onboard HDC with the same one, but with Nemo ports. (Why several
standards? Moreover, the NedoPC team supports the Nemo controller)
2) remove the onboard AT-keyboard controller, and replace it with ZX-MultiCard by
Caro
3) DAC, ADC can be excluded, or made into a module in a slot.
4) Build the RAM not on 41256, and not on SIMM-30(72), but on static 8x512
5) Replace the ROM with flash.
6) and, probably, replace HL8 with CPLD, or even FPGA.
7) Separate the pins for the PAL encoder so that it can be installed on the board
“sandwich”, and, may bi, do the same with TurboSound.
Otherwise, my impressions of the computer are very good, even at home
I don’t have it (but a friend had it, so I’m familiar with Turbo2+ not from datasheets ;))

In my opinion, you don’t even need a virtual built-in one. In general, mafon in any form
this is already a relic, so for the revival of archival records. All images of the tape,
stored PCs in the form of files must be programmed on Specky from the hard drive
process.

I agree 100%!
But then we will have to accept the concept of an industrial company. ;) "On board" leave HDC,
Keyb, Mouse, rs232, lpt, RGBVideo... And one zx-bus connector, in the form of lamellas...
If the powder is removed in CPLD, we get a very compact size.
Take the FDC overboard. Sound & PAL-coder, as already said, for installation

It's a bummer when the recording on the tape is bad, and in the case of hard-taper
