Wow!!!!!!!!
We need normal “developer software”, not all sorts of demos...
An analogue of Yamaha's BASIC would be the best option for tinkering with the subject.
About the name - Turbo Video v9990 because of the "braid for Turbo Sound / Turbo FM"
it seems that we are talking about two chips on one board%) Something like Extended would be better
Video v9990 or Enhanced Video v9990.

Hello, CHRV
Is this VRAM a regular DRAM?
I have several chips in DIP-20 package type 44256. These are 4-bit x
256-KWords. Those. 128 kilobytes per device. I made them from old video cards
sawed/unsoldered and used them to make internal memory upgrades for MSX2+ computers
Added: by the way, for some reason I bought 500 1x256K NEC 41256-10 microcircuits (case
DIP-18). This is the same as RU7. Any ideas on what to do with them other than “decorate”
toilet walls? :)

My work is going according to a strict plan and now I have a ZX->VGA plan.

Why throw it away or change it, you can install SRAM when loading

I think in order not to complicate the device, you can do without it altogether.
And IMHO there is no point in installing SRAM, especially since the 9990 does not support
commands are written to KANJI even if it is in the form of RAM, and it probably made sense if
write some simple programs in BASIC or something like that
loaders and so as not to overload them with your fonts, use built-in ones.
This way you can load any of your fonts into main memory.

four times less (than it could be) for perversions is no longer so bad!!!
The price is almost the same as that of a pop music sopra!!!
Who will say what??? (in light of the topic, if I may say so)
Unfortunately, I don’t know any games on MSX where you can look at horizontal scrolling
backdrop, but those flying shooters with vertical scrolling V9938 are just
awesome (not to mention the cartoons on the screensavers ;) ).
From the arguments for the Yamaha V9958 - it is much more realistic to push it into the matrix (on
I already gave V9938 cheese curds), and you will need a cheaper matrix than for V9990,
not to mention expensive external memory (which won’t be needed for
V9958).
V9958 can be torn out of motherfuckers along with their brains :D and the brains themselves are not a problem.

Hello icebear
It’s not interesting to somehow attach older and worse parameters
chips. I think we should take the maximum possible option and the last one
line 9990 is this option. Guys, is it really all about
in money. By and large, this is a hobby and the price should fade into the background. A
stuffing such chips into matrices, I don’t know, smells like some kind of rubber. For me
large chips like Zetnik, AUK, Vegeshka, etc. must be real and
Only stuff all sorts of loose stuff into the matrix. That’s all IMHO.

I; I think so. For me personally, my hobby does not depend on money (within reasonable
limits of course). However, I fully understand and support CHRV because
he needs to think about sales. But in general, if you allow me to compare, Count. card (be
it is on V9990 or the bald devil) is a more profitable product than ATM. In return

Why do I need an ATM? How will he replace my tangle of wires called the Pentagon?
What difference will there be between an ATM with a “card” and a Pentagon with the same “card”?
Regarding the final price of the device, everything is correct. There are a couple more points
(such as production facilities, etc.) but this is off-topic and has nothing to do with the matter
has.

One thing, of course, at the beginning they wrote about the video selector (although for perversions you can
make two ;) ).
Cos> Guys, is it really all down to it
Cos> into money.
Who else thinks so, raise your hands :v2_lol; :v2_lol:; :v2_lol;
Case; not so much in price, but in throwing away money on a device that no one
doesn’t want to buy it because it’s expensive and they don’t want it because it’s expensive
buy and support others %))))) And this snowball especially rolls into
regarding V9990 because in any case, it turns out that you will have to buy it (for those who do not
will be able to solder it) assembled for far from twenty bucks.
And in the end it turns out that it all comes down to the question - how much do you want?
throw away money if you don't care ;)
However, this question is closed for me, CHRV knows people better than anyone else
can’t stomach the slightest increase in prices for what can be exchanged for a bottle of beer
. And if it weren’t a question of money, then everyone would get ATMs and not suffer
would be a question - how to get a liter of condensed milk from a dried fly...Cos> But stuffing such chips into matrices, I don’t know, smells kinda
Cos> rubber.
This is not about stuffing as such, but about cloning in general, so that there is no
all sorts of talk - the deposits of your chip will run out and the end will come
to your standard.
However, using a matrix will allow you to completely get rid of the video selector
(if you shoot direct digital RGBYS signals).

Hello icebear
ice> Instead of the latter, everyone already has a Spectrum, but no one has a card
ice> whom.
If the question is not about money, then you can buy at least a box of ATMs, and replace the old ones with
the same beer/put it on the shelf/throw it away and don’t bother with exotics, anything or anyone
not supported.
Whatever one may say, in a global sense the question is precisely money, the more people there are
will be able to buy it (Turbo Video) at the most suitable price (i.e., as much as possible
cheaper :D), the larger the army of at least some developers will be, well
at least some club of interest will be formed in which gradually
the rest will catch up (because the thing is cool and poppy in connection! in
differences from other simply poor labels against this background). Yes, and give one like this
It won't be so expensive for a maniac programmer (especially if
there will be a lot of them ;) ).

Forget it, this was just an abstract example of a ready-made solution. Instead of ATM you can
substitute the same pentagon with color on the point, it doesn’t matter.

Whoever needs it will buy it, but I think it’s incorrect to compare with ATM since there are alternatives
There’s simply no such card and it’s simply not possible to exchange it for a bottle. Yes, and not
I think that if you reduce the current price for ATM by 2 times, sales will also increase
2 times, just whoever doesn’t need it doesn’t need it for any money.
And so you know, you can also assemble on which thread 9918-9928, for sure
it will cost even less or even a cheap video processor

I don’t want to give it up for it. I don’t like to waste money on cheap things and it will be
There is a constant feeling that again something is missing and again something is wrong because
It could have been done more coolly. In short, for me 9990 is optimal.

But this is an extremely incorrect statement!
Development does not depend on how many people have a piece of hardware, but how many people have access to it.
it works.
For example, if I, Alko and Shiru Otaku have this piece of hardware, then the development will still be
what will it be? And if fans of Pentagons have the hardware in the wires, then you can
