From Kirill Frolov To All 25 March 2000

Press RESET immediately, All! It seems to me so (see forwards from RU.PHREAKS) to the average spectrist it I can do it. We don’t take the hated Intel enemy processors, but our favorite ztnik at 12Mhz. With the letter H it might work, but if it doesn’t work we’ll take it anything more playful. High-speed ROM, static RAM - both kilobytes 4 is enough for sure. You also need a port, the simplest is probably bourgeois express analogue 580ВВ55. Add a couple of small logic chips for clock generator, reset circuits and generation of control signals for selecting RAM and ROM. More need a chain turning off the emulator's power. Optionally, an indicator or pair is attached to the port through the amplifier LEDs and keyboard. The whole thing is powered by batteries - 3 or 4 energizers. And now we consider: register-register commands will be 0.33 μs each, register-memory by 0.66μs, the rest 1-2μs. You can have 64 clock cycles per pulse from potato -- that's definitely enough. The only small thing left is to assemble it on a breadboard, set it up and write program. The price will be $6 versus $100 for the largest card. True dimensions They're too big and you can't get enough batteries... But by attaching a keyboard and an indicator you can emulate something else, for example just a calculator ;-) All this even will fit into the case from the B3-34 calculator. At the peak, of course, it’s better in every way. But you need to know architecture this peak, be able to write programs... True, there’s also a programmer for peak by an order of magnitude simpler than for ROM type 27xxx - battery and resistor, but connected to a com port which is not on the spec. Just don’t say that you should do it yourself first, and then write here. As it is written in the first part of the forward - if I had done it myself, I would definitely have written I wouldn’t give away secrets here for free. And for the most part all this emulation makes no sense. :-(
