I figured this out when I was making a programmer for Actel.
I haven’t finished the article, but I have the source code and working programs at home
computer By the way, it may be useful when debugging AT91R40008 for ZX Yellow Lines
Spectrum, since it also has JTAG on board.

Has anyone seen the subject diagram?
To check all sorts of LA3, IR23, ID7 and other nonsense.
Interested in something that connects to a computer and has a minimum of buttons...
Like - choosing a microcircuit and testing.
And two indicators - good, not very good.
Of course, it can be used as a separate device.
The searches only led to programmers costing at least $400, and this is for me
nothing.

In principle, you can do this if:
1) the microcircuits that are supposed to be tested are included in that socket (by
width);
2) since I don’t have a tool system and haven’t worked with mega8515,
I can write abstractly in C under the pins of the socket (ports attached to it)

1. yes included. ZIF panel is universal.

Another option: you make a breadboard with a zero-effort socket
(narrow) and a cable to the LPT port... but we do everything on an outdated motorolina
MC705K1...I still have about a dozen of them from the old days and a board
developer KIKS. True, you will have to remember its assembler, but fortunately
projects we were on it in 93-96. done.

If you solder or buy ready-made hardware, I can write the software. Under ready
by hardware I mean a certain KIT with LPC for $30-60 and a JTAG connector for $20
(MT System prices). If you solder yourself, you can choose the least expensive one
LPC controller with a sufficient number of pins or FPGA from Alter (whichever is less
personally preferable for me), and ByteBlaster II. Parts for $20-30, but
problems with boards, cables, etc.
