Hello, Evgeny Muchkin
THERE IS! I found out what caused the problems with the sound of AY!
It's all the fault of the processors whose name ends with PEC.
A glitch with AY was noticed on: Z84C0006PEC, Z84C0010PEC (2005 onwards) and Z84C0008PEC
(1991 onwards)
There was no glitch with AY with the following processors: Z0840004PSC (1993 onwards) and Z0840006PSC (1996 onwards,
unfortunately the turbo doesn't pull at all :(()
Tested on yellow and green scorpions.
Colleagues, check this on your machines if possible. I wonder if it's just
Is it such nonsense for Scorpios or is it like this for everyone, but we don’t know... ;)
Does anyone know where I can get Z0840006PSC or a faster one? Preferably in St. Petersburg
(but not necessarily in St. Petersburg ;))

Hello, Evgeny Muchkin
On CMOS processors there are differences in the operation of undocumented commands.
Maybe they will be used in this demo.

Those Z84Cxxx are CMOS version, others are NMOP respectively. PSC and PEC are
just the crystal packaging code, type and temperature.

Yes, that would be nice. Maybe then we can get by with some
a small modification of the board, instead of changing the percentage.

:) I don’t know anything ;)
Well then I'm looking for Z08400...

Most likely you need to understand the port output commands

I remember that the processor that is in KAY's ball has some kind of feature with
with the OUT command... and I remember when I installed processors from Scorp (6-8 MHz) into KAI
anyway, it didn’t work, as did the demo itself (but this is more likely due to
256th memory).

Just use Pentagon 128 (or unreal emul) and you'll have no problem.

In the company "Gamma" www.icgamma.ru, they are of. Zilog dealers, at least at 20 MHz, if available
in the warehouse, they will sell it individually, and if not, then order only from packaging.
For example (Z84C0020PEG - 2 weeks)

I just bought them :)

Well, they haven’t done it for the other 100 years, all that remains is to either solder it from somewhere or
look for those lying around in warehouses from those times.

(so proud)
And I have it! And not alone! :v2_finge; :v2_finge:;
You can try to look at Promelektronika - I bought 3 pieces there for 56
rubles....exactly 084 and more or less modern
2 of them do not live in my newly made scorpion - they do not start.
one works great.

Nothing special happens. Parts are downloaded from disk, run,
are played, downloaded again, etc. Previously, everyone played without problems,
I don't know why it's not working now. In my Pentagon on which it was written
the whole thing was a Yamaha AY.

Hello, Mikka_A
Mik> first music then loading or first loading then music?
Mik> what is the sequence of procedures?
16kb of clean data is loaded for AY, and they are played until the buffer runs out.
data for effects is also loaded, then again 16kb of music (at the same time
naturally the ending is played from the buffer), then these 16k are copied to the buffer and
etc. If the buffer runs out and the data has not yet been loaded, it will start playing
garbage - squeaks, squeaks, noises, etc.
