Hello, scl^mc
Standardization of the architectural development of the platform.
Standardization of architectural development refers to the development of standards in
areas of principles for the development of platform architecture, i.e. what patterns
this development must be subordinated. To understand the principles of development of the ZX platform
You must first understand what the ZX platform is.
This question has already been raised ( http://zx.pk.ru/showpost.php?p=57102&postcount=81
). Because about the development of the original ZX due to the fact that it has not been produced for a long time
It's pointless to talk, then we'll limit ourselves to clones.
From the definition: ZX clone is a computer using structural features
address space of ports and memory and architectural features
video processor of the original computer that has a compatible one (with the exception of
some differences) SOS and using the Z80 command system.
The concept of platform is somewhat broader, because includes those that have become
standard in a certain area of distribution of the change and
additions relative to the original. In this case, under the territory
distribution is understood as ex-USSR. At the same time, an expansive interpretation of the platform
does not impose mandatory availability requirements, because these extensions and
the changes are an add-on to a pre-existing platform. Example
generally accepted changes can include corrections and additions to SOS, as well asusing TR-DOS as a disk storage system and NemoBus
as a hardware expansion interface. For example, the TR-DOS system
is an integral part of the platform, and the FDD controller itself.
Thus, we can define the platform: ZX platform C are the features
structure of the address space of ports and memory, as well as features
video processor architecture of the original ZX-Spectrum, SOS compatible,
use of the Z80 command system, as well as as an extension - use
TR-DOS as a disk storage system and NemoBus as
hardware expansion interface.
Having understood the concept of a platform, we can move on to standardization issues
architectural development of the platform. Based on the components included in the platform
components, the following directions for standardization of architectural
platform development:
1) Standardization of port address space;
2) Standardization of memory management;
3) Standardization of the principles of video processor development;
4) Standardization of the principles of music processor development;
P.S. There is a survey about generating a new section:
