Sprinter resurrection - 2 (official message from F.Peters)

ZXNet echo conference «hardware.zx»

From Ivan Mak To All 3 February 2007

Hello, All f. Peters officially announces that all information on the Sprinter computer is now OPEN. The information I have will be gradually posted on the website. http://winglion.ru/sprinter/ It’s unrealistic to post everything at once, because it needs to be, at a minimum, in some way classify, disassemble and bring to a divine form, otherwise it will only turn out big dump. The BIOS source codes are partly with me, partly with Denis Parinov. Everything will be open. Sources for Altera (AHDL) will also be open. The OrCAD file with the Sprinter board will also be publicly available. Regarding possible production, I won’t handle this, so There is no point in immediately sending me orders for Sprinters. At the moment I have several blank Sprinter 2000 boards in my hands and Sprinter 2000s. If someone wants to assemble the Sprinter themselves, you can talk about it think about it, but I’ll warn you right away, you’ll have to configure what you’ve collected yourself. U I have neither the time nor the energy for this. I’ll report separately on the assembled (under)configured Sprinter boards when I figure it out with them. Now I can only say that they exist in small quantities. Some are in such a form that it hurts to look at them...

From Alexander Shabarshin To All 3 February 2007

Hello, WingLion Now here we have to wait for the invasion of the “true Spectrumians”, who will be foaming at the mouth to prove that the Sprinter is not a Spectrum...

From Ivan Mak To All 3 February 2007

Hello Shaos Sha> Now here we have to wait for the invasion of the “true Spectrumians” who Sha> will prove with foam at the mouth that the Sprinter is not a Spectrum... :v2_clapp; Hm...; I suggest they start by proving that PC is not Spectrum!

From Ivan Mak To All 3 February 2007

Hello, WingLion To everyone who writes in private with requests to “sell a blank board” for self-assembly. The issue price is approximately 500 rubles. But I have not yet dealt with all the inheritance that I got, and I can’t say exactly how many of these boards are in stock. I won’t give them away until I prepare the documentation for the assembly. And this will not happen now or tomorrow, but at least in two weeks.

From Orionsoft To All 3 February 2007

Hello, WingLion I stood in line for the assembled and unconfigured....

From ilyaspb To All 4 February 2007

Hello, Error404 Err> I think manufacturers need to give only the documentation. And so Err> produced Sprinters in the required quantity. :v2_tong2; Err>; With production it is more difficult, because I have my own project and I plan to develop it. K besides, I have very little free time, I even collect Pentagons with a very low speed. I simply can’t bear the additional load. Err> And the adjusted boards are for programmers, but for those who actually do something. Err> And the designers - to other enthusiasts (if they don't launch it - and to hell with it). Err> Then in a year it will become clear whether it was worth it (not Err> considering collecting rarities - everything is clear to everyone here). I did not ask for the assembled board or the constructor. I asked for an empty board so that Don’t bother Ivan again. I can buy the components myself, assemble and configure.

Hello, WingLion Win> If I had decided this, everything would have opened in 98..99... I recommend password-protecting access to documents with some kind of riddle in Russian and post Russian-language and English-language information about the Autonomous Republic and ownership, so that our foreign friends don’t quickly release something similar with the words “we will steal your idea a little” (C)

Hello KingOfEvil It would be nice to open the S-97 firmware diagram, otherwise I have several boards It’s lying around, it’s a shame to throw it away.
