Hello, All
Hello everyone. Tell me, knowledgeable people, I have a laptop with usb at work
ports, is there any possibility to attach a Speck keyboard to the laptop???
P.S. For those who are interested in why, I’ll answer: I’m tired of the wretchedness of the keyboard
laptop... I want to sit in the emulator with a real keyboard.... :)

Don't tell me. Not for everyone. I've been chasing something like this for a long time.

Hello MegaMyth
And the topic is cool. Although, IMHO, it’s easier to take a USB keyboard and stick it on
pictures of spec keys. For a long time now, someone has even laid out layouts in a graph. formats

If it is still possible to write from two keyboards (one of which is cut to
USB), then it’s enough to take and break out one keyboard and wires
solder a speck keyboard to her scarf.

Why is this??? Well, do you really have to solder the controller??? After all, there are USB connections
ports...

Bla> That’s the question: what to solder and where...
Soldering is not a question ;) The “question” is whether two keyboards will work together
.
Actually, the process of reincarnation is nothing special, really
the keyboard only has two contact films, you just need to repeat this pattern on
your spec keyboard. All old tracks on the spec keyboard should
be sure to be cut (AHTUNG!!! the keyboard board can be
double-sided and you will have to unsolder the buttons to cut all the tracks). If
the speck keyboard is film, then all that remains is to sculpt the structure with
small-scale controller (examples, in principle, should be on the Internet, but about USB
I don’t know about the option).

Hello fan
The main problem with PC keyboards is the inability to press several keys at once.
In this regard, it will be difficult to repeat the Specov keyboard.

After all, mice work in pairs, so why shouldn’t the keyboard... But shouldn’t it?
then make sure to solder the wires from the keyboard spec in place of the PC keyboard inside
where is the board with LEDs???

Well, then you can’t buy a cheap keyboard, disassemble it, and draw the correspondence of the contacts.

attach if the capabilities of the PC keyboard for simultaneous pressing are satisfactory.

I'm afraid it's just not - you need a keyboard that is convenient to control Spec's
games, and there you just have to stomp on several keys at once, but on a PC
Immediately together they trample what seems like combinations with CTRL.

Well then, there are no problems. (has anyone actually tried it?)
Bla> Isn’t it possible to do something so that the wires from the keyboard’s spec are soldered on
Bla> the place of the PC keyboard is inside where the scarf with LEDs is located???
Pytsy keyboards have a special shamanic wiring so that diodes are saved and
the necessary buttons were pressed together. In short, without the massacre of a spec keyboard
no way . Or you will have to use a small controller.

no, everything is fine with that. that is, as far as I remember, one scancode is read
at once, but several simultaneously pressed keys work without problems
sequential reading of codes. I checked now in xev under Linux - I press
a bunch of buttons at once, and I get a bunch of scancodes, nothing is lost.
