Do you want to make an impulse generator yourself? Look towards tiny (m/skh such, they are kept in

This is more of a software issue. In general, there are ready-made MIDI interfaces with RS-232,
RS-422, LPT ports. All that remains is to support them on spec. With LPT for example

At a clock speed of 11.0592 MHz, which is currently running ZXMC
you can set the operating speed of RS232 = 31418 baud, which is 0.5% more,
but it fits within the tolerance.
