I bought a SEGA joystick over the weekend and connected it to the Delta-C48 (52 chips). Without
joystick from port 31 reads 224. I connected the joystick via a homemade
adapter DB-9F to ONC-7. The DB-9F (male) connector is suitable, although slightly different
forms. It turned out that the joystick contains pull-up resistors of +5V and
255 is read. Therefore, Kempston interface circuits on chips without
inversion (the polling signal is +5V and is pulled up by resistors to GND) in span or
invert the signals of an additional IC, for example K555ЛH1 and connect GND. K
interfaces with inversion (the polling signal is GND and is pulled up by +5V resistors)
Easy to connect, you just need to connect GND. Without modifications you can use
only 1 button from: Start, A, B or C. The Select signal is also with a +5V resistor and
you don't have to connect. These options will not work for Sinclair joysticks. I don't
began to invert, and soldered the wiring. Result: all buttons work and how

P.S. I haven't tested the turbo joysticks. Supposedly they double the impulses from
buttons They should work in normal mode.
