Hello, All Hello everyone. Due to inexperience I bought mine here Altera - EPM7064LC44-15 After advice from friends, I found out that it can only be programmed by some cunning programmer. That is, in order to flash with a simple ByteBlaster, you had to take not this one, but also with with the letter S in the title, that is EPM7064SLC44-15 Hence the question - has anyone come across this same programmer on the network? Hello, Mikka_A 7064 without S can only be sewn with a special Alter programmer. It costs much more than a new chip with S, so it makes sense to buy it no. If a single specific firmware was required, it would be possible try to find this programmer from someone, for example, in a store that sells them company and try to sew it up. The Gamma company (St. Petersburg) once offered such service, but I have no idea where this Gamma is now. Was once in that building the Research Institute of Television itself, where I now work, but now Gamma is not there.

Hello andrews and> documentation for MAX7000 made a mistake There is no mistake in the documentation, it says in black and white that JTAG exists only in MAX7000 with letters, and MAX7000 without letters is programmed in the same way as classic devices via programmer. (see post below)

Hello deathsoft Who has MaxPlus, take a look at the corresponding section... I'm certainly not sure 100%, but the EPM7064 has pins for JTAG... but why does it need JTAG then? And ISP via JTAG is In System Programming, this is a programming possibility chip _soldered_ into the board and the ability to transfer it from operating mode to mode programming without turning off the power. If there is a BSDL file for EPM7064, then it has some JTAG BST commands, at least the basic ones. And where is the logic of the developers then? There are JTAG pins, but sewing through others?
