On the theme of scarf design - Minimig rev1.0 PCB (12X12cm)

ZXNet echo conference «hardware.zx»

From Alexander Zan To All 26 July 2006

Hello, All Hoping for little, I looked outside once again into the minimig thread and found this - http://www.amiga.org/modules/myalbum/photos/2645.gif Comrade Dennis built a double layer with dimensions of only 12X12cm (for his project according to resurrection of the Amiga), sticking out on the scarf are PS/2 connectors for a keyboard and mouse, VGA/RGB output, serial port, two classic Joe ports similar to branded Spectrums (Amiga mice are shoved there too), socket for MMC card. The conf. ROM is connected via a pin connector. In general, everything you need is present ;) In addition, there are Spartach3 and motorized 68K percent (which you don’t have to install;) or re-install it for the Z80) and of course the brains. Exactly what I mean by this - the design of the scarf is quite chocolate, the scarf can be easily push into the body from any five-inch CD, and if you move away from original design, then you can add a slim CD, and you can also remove the system connector (if you don’t sculpt the percent from the outside, but use it on the VHDL).

Hello fan I think it’s good to take KAY as the basis for the design - it’s small, there’s a tire (!!! and this is the main thing!!!), and yet, after all, there is a standard in size (since 1994).

From Vlad Semchenko To All 26 July 2006

Hello fan Sorry, offtop, but I would like to ask if there is a “home page” on the Internet Minimig project?

From skyther To All 26 July 2006

Hello Vinny I would buy such a thing without question ;) If you also emulate the stone, you can "put the switch" spec/amiga :v2_thumb:

Hello Ronin Ron> I think it’s good to take KAY as the basis for the design - small, there is Ron> tire (!!! and this is the main thing!!!), and yet, after all, a standard in size Ron> (since 1994). Eh, exactly loose kai??? :v2_eek; If; do it from scratch, then everything will have a tire ;) Actually we are talking about the design of a developer scarf for perversions in the field of ZX and etc. , instead of the MSX card I showed earlier (which just had a system connector, but also had a bit of a craggy size), actually it’s quite possible to fit into this scarf add a proprietary Spec system connector (if you don’t sculpt a real percentage).

From Alexander Zan To All 26 July 2006

Hello Vinny But there is a poor ATARI ST: D (I used the link to FDC 1772 in VHDL, by the way it Has anyone tried to torture it in FDC 1793? ;) ).

From Alexander Zan To All 26 July 2006

Hello skyther sky> I would buy such a thing without question. If you also emulate a stone, sky> you can "set the switch" spec/amiga The stone is not emulated, because everything turns out natural/hardware :D The toggle switch is also really fun to use, in order to switch between configuration ROM (firmware for VASICs, etc. are stored inside them). For complete happiness, there is not enough ability to change the conf. ROM by means of the board .

Hello, The Exploited The> cbsspeccy works on 030 olny =) let's skip this point;) there are still a bunch of emuls (although none of them can even tyrdos)

From skyther To All 26 July 2006

Hello, The Exploited The> Please note, Amiga 500 =) and this is such a rarity that oh! Atari ST is also cool;) in our city they were the only ones (from computers on 68 percent) And instead of conf. ROM cannot be installed RAM? :)

From skyther To All 27 July 2006

Hello, CHRV I looked at the scarf with a fresh look and saw that it was ALREADY filled with MMC at the peak - the "menu" button - that's what it is. Or am I wrong? Regarding the execution of the finished device: take the LCD monitor and the back This scarf is screwed on - there are already holes for this purpose ;) By the way, is this available in p-cad for example? I couldn't find anything on amiga.org...

From Chunin Roman To All 27 July 2006

Hello skyther And the offtopic rushed through the mountains and villages... Let's not get distracted from the topic, otherwise God knows what's going on! By the way, has anyone seen ITX cases on sale at reasonable prices?

From Alexander Zan To All 27 July 2006

Hello Vinny Hmm, some strange conversation about emulsions at 68K started) When the piece of hardware allows hardware implementation of the spec ;) sky> And instead of conf. ROM cannot be installed RAM? (As I understand the question about the possibility of self-priming.) Conf. The RAM, as it were, is already there (inside the chip), i.e. you cut the scarf to the dog and you pour what you want without any conf. ROM. The good thing about Sprinter and GMX was that they had a ready-made system for self-filling, and Then you will have to pervert your hands and feet (and create another cloud of mischief). Ideally, it would be great to set up a JTAG uploader, similar to the tape recorder on memory cards (with a screen), so as not to be dependent on a specific platforms. However, you can allocate a little dog for this matter and wet yourself until you’re blue in the face :D

From skyther To All 27 July 2006

Hello fan Nope, without a ROM conf it won’t work - I turned off the power supply and the firmware paragraph ;) The idea is this: instead of a ROM, we use a small controller with a serial foreign interface and MMS support. It downloads the firmware from the card and transfers it to the FPGA. More possible from RAM (which is on the board) - Z80 writes firmware there, then generates general reset - the controller downloads this firmware. It really takes a long time to load - the specifications say several tens of seconds :( (but a Windows boot emulator will work)

From Alexander Zan To All 27 July 2006

Hello, CHRV CHR> Nope, without a ROM conf it won't work - I turned off the power and the firmware section What does RAM have to do with it then? sky> The idea is this - instead of ROM we put a small controller on it sky> serial interface and MMS support. He downloads the firmware from sky> cards and transfers them to the FPGA. Actually, this is what I meant by JTAG uploader. sky> You can also use it from RAM (which is on the board) - Z80 writes firmware there sky> then generates a general reset - the controller loads this firmware. sky> It really takes a long time to load - the specification says several dozen sky> seconds (but the Windows boot emulator will work) And this is where the so-called platform dependence comes in. Those. will have to write a bootloader to boot not only for Z80, but also for 68K AMIGA, 68K ATARI ST, amstradas... commodores (not sure if it is fully assembled, SID in I haven't seen VHDL yet)... CHR> By the way, has anyone seen ITX cases for sale at reasonable prices? This is science fiction, I gave up on them for a very long time, as a result of which I suggest a CD form factor. Previously, it was still possible to get boxes of VHS cassettes (for housings), but now they arefigs you will find, even together with cassettes... Maybe for the better, because in CD The body fits the slim CD perfectly. Below there are pages with his photos and photo of the adapter (if anyone is interested) - http://gutjahr.free.fr/index.php?language=en&page=1200cd http://gutjahr.free.fr/index.php?language=en&page=cd1200 (old version) =================================================================================== Hmm, the topic doesn’t arouse people’s interest, nor criticism or suggestions:\n We just have to wait until the Amiga cheesecakes are released for free flight, maybe then people will get excited ;)

From Andreas Kaiser To All 28 July 2006

Hello Ronin Ron> I'm upset - the real percentage will be in any way. no, why bother pushing it in Ron> fpga processors, when are they ready-made five times cheaper? Glitches edit, expand the command system or address space, turbocharge. Is it enough? It would be a fantasy.

From Andreas Kaiser To All 28 July 2006

Hello, The Exploited The> is the subject generally available? or should I do it myself? Better think about purchasing eval. board. Yes, it will cost from 100 to 200 killed raccoons, but there will be no hassle with assembly, board layout, etc. All little things like that will quickly add up to the price of EB.

From Victor Ronin To All 28 July 2006

Hello fan fan> Uh, exactly loose kai ??? Are there other small Speck standards? in my opinion the most optimal. fan> If you do it from scratch, then everything will have a tire are you sure? :) We still have a bunch of cockroaches learning from us. especially if you leave it the possibility of “assembly by the user from the constructor” or in Nemovsky “export technology" fan> (if you don’t sculpt the real percentage). I'll be upset - the real percentage will be in any way. no, why not stuff the processors into the FPG, When are they ready-made, five times cheaper?

From skyther To All 28 July 2006

Hello fan fan> ...you'll have to write a bootloader to boot not only for Z80, but also fan> for 68K AMIGA, 68K ATARI ST... But you can also insert a ROM under them. Not very convenient, but for example I need it Spectrum only. There is a peak on the board for flop emulation, it is also connected to the MMC - you can use it as Use the bootloader, just change the wiring a little. Yes, I can’t figure out where to connect the Z80?

From Alexander Zan To All 28 July 2006

Hello Ronin Ron> Are there other small Speck standards? I think the most Ron> optimal. Well, at least the subject ;) (except for branded specs :D, but their forms The scarf factor also didn’t cause any argasms...) Ron> are you sure? We still have a bunch of cockroaches to learn from. especially if Ron> leave the option of “assembly by the user from the constructor” or in Nemov’s way Ron> "technology export" It’s not that much of a pile, and there are mikruh cases that are twice as small as SOIC (not I remember the names of the buildings). And not everyone needs this tire (especially when you can push almost everything inside). Ron> I'm upset - the real percentage will be in any way. no, why bother pushing it in Ron> fpga processors, when are they ready-made five times cheaper? Considering a fairly large pile of free space, you can use a real percentage just put it ;)

From Alexander Zan To All 28 July 2006

Hello icebear ice> from 100 to 200 killed raccoons I'm afraid that the issue of price comes first:

From Mark Antonov To All 28 July 2006

Hello icebear Is the subject generally available? or do you have to do it yourself?

From Andreas Kaiser To All 28 July 2006

Hello fan fan> I'm afraid that the issue of price comes first: A full-fledged homemade board will result in the same amount + nerves + skill.

From Alexander Zan To All 28 July 2006

Hello icebear ice> A full-fledged homemade board will result in the same amount + nerves + ice> skill. What is "Full"? How complete is the subject? A homemade saber will obviously be cheaper than 100. But with development boards absolutely a pipe... Manufacturers consider it their duty to stick together a bunch of scrap instead in order to do something simpler like this - http://www.plis.ru/pic/pict/CPLD2jp.JPG (ancient scarf on CPLD for 50uyo) Third-party manufacturers' prices are no longer reasonable... ZY It would be great if Rush sold multi-legged (BGA) matrices already soldered to simple scarves with pop pins in a circle (like pins with deep step, in several rows (I can’t find a photo)), this would immediately remove a number of problems, but alas...

From Chunin Roman To All 28 July 2006

Hello icebear ice> A full-fledged homemade board will result in the same amount + nerves + ice> skill. Well, offtopic again, I wonder what the Spectrum has to do with it.... Now, if there is a specific implementation or at least an implementation plan, then please...
